Does the Halifax rewards clarity card still exist?

Hi, all as this thread seems dead I thought i would hijack it!
I got a Clarity card from Halifax in January of this year and later got a rewards account around March of this year, I pay in over a £1000 a month to the current account and get my £5 but this is not my main account. I have since tried converting my Clarity card into a Clarity rewards card, as i spend more than £300 a month on it.
At first I was told it was possible but had to go to branch, which I did, now 7 weeks on I ring the credit card phone banking to be told I can only have the card if I
A; Pay for there premier account at £12.95 and month or
B; Have my wages paid into the current account so that it becomes my primary account
Is this right? I understood that you only had to spend £300 on the Card and pay in at least £1000 a month on your current account
If someone has this account please help?To alcohol! The cause of... and solution to... all of life's problems!:beer:0 -

If you have a Halifax Ultimate Rewards current account and also pay in £1000 a month, then you'll get £5 for paying in the £1000 a month and the £5 for spending £300 on your credit card. Bearing in mind no interest on the first £300 overdraft on the current account. So do all this, and the Scallyfax pay you £120 a year to be a customer.0 -
To get the fiver you must spend £300 on your account and either have a Halifax Ultimate Rewards account (£12 a month) or pay in a minimum of £1000.

You will get the £5 for paying in £1000 in either of the Rewards accounts (normal or ultimate) and the £300 overdraft for free only in the Ultimate account.
(I suspect that is what you were trying to say anyway, it was just a bit unclear!).0 -
I tried to apply for this card over the phone and was told to qualify for the £5 cashback I would need to apply in branch. I went to the branch to apply and they took me through one of their awful 'customer reviews'. I got the card and just said no to all the other stuff they were offering.0

Well I have 3 Reward Current Accounts (Opened before they limited them) and a Clarity Reward Credit Card. I spend just over £300 per month on this card and get the £5 so I get £20 per month.
I also had a Halifax one card which was on Interest 0% for 12 months. This expired in April when I paid the balance off.
I was going to cancel this Halifax One card and rang them. Before closing it I asked if I could upgrade it to a reward card and get the £5 each month. She asked if I had a current Account where I pay £1,000 in each month and I said yes. She went away for a few minutes then came back and said I could upgrade but the Interest rate would go up to 21.95%. This does not bother me because I Never Ever pay interest.
The card has come today, so now, I have two Clarity Reward Credit Cards, and 3 Reward Current Accounts, and I will now earn £25 per month. All I have to do is spread my shopping onto each card making sure £300 is spent on each card every month.

I believe this is still available. I rang on Saturday about this and was offered it as an upgrade to my Halifax One card. Don't think it is only available as an upgrade though! The only thing you need is a Halifax Reward Current account which you pay £1000/month into to be eligible.
Cheers

That is correct, I just applied for my card last Saturday, you only need a reward account and you need to do it in branch.0 -
I went into a branch and applied for the rewards clarity card only a couple of weeks ago. Am already a customer so the process was really quick.
I had originally applied online but my agreement "got lost in the post" (love the irony!). But turned out better for me because i got offered a lower interest rate in branch than i did online!!!!0 -
If you have a Reward or Ultimate Reward current account with Halifax, and apply for the Clarity card online (like I did) you will automatically be given the Reward Clarity. I wasnt bothered about getting the Reward card, as Its not my main card, it will be used mainly for travel, and so I dont think I'll be able to spend the £300 p/m to get the £5, but they gave it to me anyway without me asking for itDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0
