    that's what mine looks like

perhaps they have simply changed the design of the clarity.

Mine is definitely the reward, as it was an upgrade from an existing account (Credit limit/pin transferred over), and the retentions people went through all the rewards conditions with me on the phone
    It's a health benefit ...

I'm thinking of opening one of these (provided I can get to it!) before going on holiday - does anyone know if withdrawing from a cash machine (abroad) counts towards the £300 a month spending?

...Bear in mind that, with cash advances, you start paying interest from the date of withdrawal(there is no interest free period on cash withdrawals).

What makes the card good though is that there are no withdrawl fees, and you get the true exchange rate (no loading on either cash withdrawals or purchases).

Spend £300 on purchases and get a £5 reward... just ALWAYS pay for purchases in LOCAL CURRENCY (don't allow them to convert to stirling because the rate will be worse).

    Enjoy your hols everyone!

Sorry to dig up an old-ish thread, but there is different information passing around (including on the Halifax website - as stated previously) in regards to applying for the Rewards Clarity Card.

I have spoken to Halifax Card Services and they say that the card looks the same. If you fulfil the requirements for the Reward Clarity Card then the computer automatically upgrades you to the Reward Clarity Card when you apply for the standard Clarity Card. You can upgrade at any point without problems. So, you can signup online and still get the Reward Clarity Card. When you activate the card itself, you can confirm the type of card with Halifax card services on the phone.

Hope someone can help. I have recently got the Halifax clarity credit card but despite on purposely spending £300 on it for the last 2 months I have not had the £5 interest. No interest appearing under my reward online saver account either which was a requirement for opening this account.

You must have a current account and fund it with more than £1000 per month, or have an Ultimate Reward Current Account, to be eligible for the £5 reward on the clarity card. The online saver is not a requirement.

If I remember reading correctly, the £5 gets given as credit on the credit card, not as interest to your reward current account.

You get £5 "reward" (aka interest) on the current account for paying in £1000 per month.

You then get an additional £5 credited to the credit card for spending £300 per month AND paying in £1000 to the current account (or holding an URCA).

Thanks for the replies. Yes I am doing the reward account £1000 thing too and the £5 has still never appeared on my credit card. :-(
