Does the Halifax rewards clarity card still exist?
Comments

The reward is paid a month in arrears so you wouldn't see anything on the first statement.
Your spending from Oct would be on a statement printed in Nov, the reward payment made on you next statement dated Dec.
Thanks for replying.
My Nov statement ended on Nov 15 and I received the reward for Nov on Nov 16, which will be in my Dec statement.
My husband's Nov statement ended on Nov 20, and no reward received between Nov 21 until now. So I was just wondering if this is normal because I've always received the reward the day after the statement date.0 -
What is the procedure to apply for the Clarity Reward? Is it possible to apply online or should I go in branch?0
-
You only get the Clarity card online. The Clarity Reward can only be done in branch, and only if you have a Reward current account and good credit history (and probably good internal scoring).0

I have a reward current account since 10 months. Let's say I am not sure whether I can get the clarity card (I don't have much credit history since I lived in UK just for 1 year). Should I try to apply for the reward or better to apply for the clarity? Do they have the same "success" rate?0 -
In that case, you are best off applying in-branch so they can discuss your accounts with you. 'Reward' is just a feature of clarity, so they both have the same success rate.0

Halifax Rewards Clarity credit card still exists. Halifax website doesn't list any information about it. It can not be applied over the phone. Some Halifax branch staffs don't know about it. I rang around a couple of branches to find the one who knows about the product and made an appointment. I went in this morning to apply for it and passed their credit check. My Rewards Clarity card supposed to arrive in about 7 working days.
I initially spent nearly 30 min on the phone to apply one only to find that what I was about to get was just a regular Clarity credit card. The phone operator missed the 'Reward' bit I mentioned at the beginning of the call. He knew that I am a Reward current account holder, but didn't mention about the better deal of 'Reward Clarity credit card' during the call.
I called my account holding branch, but no one there didn't know about Reward Clarity credit card. I persisted and rang other branch near by. I wonder why Halifax doesn't mention about it on their website. Still, even though they are not promoting the product, it is still available. Fingers crossed! If I don't get it after all this hassle, I will come back here to report it.0 -
The terms and conditions for Clarity give details of how to qualify or the Reward in condition 11.

I'd suggest if you apply online or by phone and meet condition 11 you will get the £5.0 -
I think it depends who you come across in their terrible Customer Centre on the phone...
I have just called their Credit Cards department and after insisting and constantly pointing the guy to the Clarity Rewards Cards (not usual Clarity which he constantly referred to) - I eventually got through the application and now got it.
All done via phone, didn't have to go to branch..
I think they deliberately point you to the standard Clarity Card as the only difference is that it does not pay the £5 which the Rewards Clarity does.0 -

The Reward payment is triggered automatically if the customer meets the qualifying requirements.
So how would "deliberately" doing anything save them money?0 -
T&Cs for both cards (Clarity and Clarity Rewards) have the same section the £5 reward but HBOS still consider them as separate cards. So if they have you on the system as holding standard Clarity Credit Card (not Clarity Rewards), you won't get your £5 even if you meet all the criteria...
That's why I think they try to get you on Clarity (without Rewards). They don't advertise it on their website any more either.0
