if the OP is unaware or simply uninterested in reverting to picking up the comp again and posting it every month to the main board - who is going to do it
I lost count of the number of times I asked exactly that question and the closest to an answer i got was that this gives new posters an opportunity to post some comps so they can give back. Time will tell but I will be suprised if we don't miss out on a lot of comps.........but it's what a lot of peeps were asking for so we'll have to try to make it work I guess0 -
Please don't delete anything in the actual monthlies thread, can it just be left in G/O so if comps are missed or not posted there is a way to see what we r missing.#JusticeForGrenfell0

re the monthly sticky - later tonight I'll copy the sticky list of monthlies into a new thread with an explanation in the OP
I'll lock the old one, send it to GO and add a post at the top explaining, so anyone going to it from a saved link will see it
then I'll leave the copied list in regs while I send all the monthlies that will now be on mains to GO and I'll highlight in red which ones they are on the sticky, quite a few people have pm'd and said they will help post them on mains :T
people can post on this thread to say which comps they have posted from the link which should be quicker than searching for each comp to see if it has been postedI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. NEW GUIDELINES: Major Changes to Comp Posting- Read Before Posting
That way the onus is on the poster to read the thread before posting xx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Thank you for working out this system. I loved mamzies clear rules on how to display thread titles too. Hopefully this trial period will be a successful change and cause less stress.
More comps, more luck, less stress. XWishing you all good luck!

thanks Glad,
I haven't been on MSe as had a challenging few days thanks to a garage letting me down with an adapted car.
I've love it if you could add just a few of the other guidelines to your post as well - esp the expiry date and title tags bits - they would help new compers and help us all to post comps in the same way.
I feel that the definitive guidelines, which I hope yours will turn out to be, should be in a thread of their own. VGs guide is fab, but its like the instruction booklet to accompany a quickstart rules thread, iyswimMy light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0 -
Sorry to ask a question which may have already been covered but if I comp by end date on main board (entering today the comps that end tomorrow), how likely am I to miss out on comps? I very rarely get time to visit the other threads (weeklies etc).
TIA xIf at first you don't succeed ........Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

If you ONLY comp in this way and don't use the regulars board then the changes will mean:-
1) You will see many, many more monthly comps that you currently miss because they are on regulars - there will be hundreds of extra comps ending on the last day of a month - probably far too many to do them all the previous day.
2) You will get the chance to enter some monthly comps that currently you only get to enter in their final month, as these will have individual posts for each month they run instead of a combined thread with an ending date at the end of the final month.
3) You will miss some weekly comps that you currently can enter as these should be moved from individual posts on the main board to regulars, or to a combined post on main where you can only enter the final week's comp.0 -
