As has been pointed out on this thread, the peoples involved in this alarm scam business are now moving into the Solar Panels game so beware!

So true, been following this post and cant belive that people paid so much for so little, and using an un approved company.

NSI or SSAIB companies are the only way to go, not the friend down the road or un approved becase its cheaper.

Unfortunately a lot of these people, including a friend of mine did not use "the friend down the road" and neither did she use this company because "it was cheaper!"

It may have been better if she had!

She "just" had 3 salesmen visit her in 24 hours because she tried to cancel, then was offered a better deal which was not honoured!!

I realise this but start a new thread if you feel this "new" Solar Company has done something wrong, we are discussing SAS Fire and Security on here, not Solar Panels.
I think the post in question has more to do with a continued trading of a new company reliant on profits from a previous (closed down) company. Making the post relevant to the thread.

This thread has less to do with alarm monitoring in general than the now defunct SAS Fire & Security. That by sheer coincidence now happen to be trading in Solar Panels, is the relevant "connection" between the posts.

Please be reminded that this is an OPEN forum, your position as such is that you are free to interact within the thread, whilst being incapable of laying down any laws, guidelines or rules that YOU think other members MUST obey. ;)

  • Whilst on the subject:
I have it on good authority that around 3 weeks ago the Preston employees were told that they where no longer selling alarms but were now selling double glazing under the name "Ecoglaze" and where told to phone people and tell them they were working with "The Energy Saving Fund" too. The new company "Ecoglaze" dont have a website although if a google search is carried out, The REAL Ecoglaze are on the first page with glowing testimonials!
The Preston staff were told 2 weeks later by telephone call, whilst at work, that the office was closing with immediate effect! No one has been contacted by the company since the day they were sacked. They are now operating from Global House, Bailey Lane, Manchester

I think Global House Manchester is just an office with somebody taking calls and redirecting mail. This is the address given for MARS contacts and I may be wrong but based on information I received the number of staff at this address is approx one.

Ok well I have Just been told by a friend of a friend who worked or used to work for SAS or any of the other companies. (Might even Know Spammy) That you are all Bleating on about something that is no more. Trading Standards Seized everything yesterday, all the money, all the Assets, all the Pc's and closed down all the offices. So there is nothing left, not even 1 call centre or 1 Alarm or 1 Solar Panel, all the staff are unemployed and the only winners now it seems are trading standards who get to keep all the money etc. This is where this country is wrong, the money should be used to help myself and others pay for monitoring and to help staff who are now unemployed. Bet the Trading Standards guys now get big fat Bonuses now made up from some of my money!!!

Brilliant news!!! :D:D. Albeit far from being convinced of such news from this friend of a friend you know, who just so happened to work for this company (by some MASSIVE coincidence??), I will await on any further developments from far more reliable and trusted sources ;).

Marley I can Asure you this is true, you obviously don't get my sense of humour as the friend of a friend comment was just that, humour. I've had lots of information that I was bursting to tell the Forum members over the last few months but did not for fear of being mocked, slagged off etc. As this has happened in the past many times.

PS: I still don't work for SAS, if I did I'd be very unemployed by now.
