Is anyone who applied online still waiting for it to be done? I applied for the upgrade about a month ago and its still not done..!
I called Halifax last Monday to query why my ISA hadn't been upgraded to version 4 despite requesting it in March.
The person I spoke too said they would ask their colleagues to prioritise it and offered to pay £10 into one of my Halifax current accounts due to the delay..
Just logged on to find a) it hasn't been been done yet (no great surprise, they said it might take 2 weeks) and b) they have paid the £10 into my ISA account and not my current account.
Can anyone suggest what I should do - I had no intention of opening/subscribing to a 2011/12 cash ISA with Halifax and have already applied to open a share ISA this tax year with another company...
Thanks

I wrote a letter to their complaints department about mine not having been converted yet. Haven't had a reply (hasn't been a working day yet) but last time I did that to a bank everything got sorted within 2 days and I got compensation, so I'm hopeful.0

I have a halifax direct reward 2 isa, I don't know the diffeence in them but I was going to upgrade to the best haliax one for my 2011-2012 isa. At present its showing as 2.60 interest as I opened it late last year so perhaps thas why it hasnt reverted to the lower interest rate yet.
Which is the best to go for to upgrade this and can I do it within my account online?Thanx

Why do I have the direct reward 2 one, ave I missed the reward 3 somehow?
Feels a bit funny just filling in that form without being logged into my account is there no way to do it within my account? shouldnt it go through instantly with it just being an upgrade?Thanx

I decided to phone to swap the isa to the direct reward 4, I just did not feel comfortable using the form because you cannot go to it even through halifax website. I also noticed that the form did not ask for a date on it so maybe it won't be classed as going through on the day you fill it in, thats unless it goes on to another page and asks there. It doesnt ask for an email address either and I would want confirmation for peice of mind.
They never mentioned the direct reward 4 they just referred to it as the direct reward so I asked if it would definitely be the reward 4 and he said they were not allowed to say reward 4 due to data protection, which I don't really understand. All he said was it will be the direct reward with an interest rate of 3%.
I also asked about the extra interest if you are a halifax current account holder and he confirmed that this is paid separately on 5th April and only if the current account has been funded by £1000 or more each month. I'm wondering if that might not apply to me though as I'm joining late so I wont have done the whole 12 months by next April with this isa. Unless they give the extra interest on a month by month basis with the credits of £1000Thanx

Quite how the name of an account affects Data Protection I've no idea too.0 -
