  • I decided this year was gonna be the for a finances overhaul so i've just posted my letter to nationwide for my 6yrs statements then i thought sod it i'll do my 3 Credit Cards too so in the post they went and hopefully should hear something soon from all 4.

Will be a right result if i do get them all back as i should be able to payoff my C/Cards and hopefully overdraft too and could end up debt free sooner than i thought LOL.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts were on excepting the offers from banks.
i know some have fully refunded while others have refunded the difference between old and new charges.

should you just go with it and take the money or tell them no and go for the whole lot?
  • Thanks, yes it was in reclaim help thread

    Cheers

    Bank:Nationwide
    Amount Claimed:£913.97

So far they have been very co-operative, providing me with the statements of account. This account was closed in 2001, although I originally requested the statements in 2006, going back to 2000. About half of the money I'm claiming was in 2000, so I'm wondering if I'll get that back at all? Still, I will update on the progress. I'm also waiting for statements from HSBC, as they charged me a lot of money in the past (again the account is closed).

Nationwide are very co-operative up until you start to ask them for money!! I've not heard of a case yet with Nationwide that hasn't got as far as court. I've served papers on them already, so now just gotta wait.

Good luck and be prepared for a bit of a fight!

hi this is my first post-need help!!!!
nationwide took my £1500 overdraft off me last year and within six months i owed them £2500 which i am now paying off through a debt coll agency, after seeing this site i sent the first letter to them requesting a breakdown and gave 40 days which is up on 18th mar. i received a letter explaining their charges but not a mention of comp. list i requested!!!
i have rang them 3 times since and each time been fobbed off, and dont know what to do next!!!!!
they actually rang and left message with my mum(clearly not up on the data protection lark!!!) saying they would chargeme £10 per statement total of £720!!!
when i rang back they conveniently had no record of this happening and said someone would call me.... they have not!!!!
    please help!!!!

Follow the process, if they won't budge take 'em to court!!

I've commenced court action against them already, it's been deemed served so just gotta wait now.

Good luck with the rest of your claim, don't let them get to you and most importantly don't give up!!
