Hi... another first time poster here.

Just for the record I have today received a letter from NW, having sent my first letter on 27.02.07. The letter explains the 'rationale behind our charging policy'....... 'clarify our position and you will appreciate why I am unable to refund any charges on your account.''

I am claiming for £118.50 + interest, 3 out of 4 charges have been £30 for direct debits no more than £2.00 each, which has taken me into an unauthorised overdraft!

I will be sending my next letter today and will be adding something along the lines of charges of £30 for being £2 overdrawn for 2 days!!..... Watch this space!

Thanks to everyone for using these forums on a regular basis. I find it so encouraging!

p.s - awaiting response from HSBC also.

After being ignored for nearly a month I received the same standard letter as this.

However, it's all too late anyway, it's in the hands of the court now

Good luck to all Nationwide claimers, please keep this thread up to date with any developments / successes etc, always good to read.

I sent my claim letter off to them yesterday, for £2495.00. I'll let you know how it goes.

Nationwide still hitting flexaccount customers with a £30 penalty if you miss a DD payment (which incidentally was set up automatically from a gym membership i cancelled a year ago!)
  • Hi

I am taking NW all the way for just over £2000, I am in the process of the courts on money claim online and its all been pretty straight forward - til now. I have recieved all the relevent claim forms from the Northampton County court to say that NW have acknowledged claim etc, this morning I recieved a Responce pack/acknowledgment of service saying that NW intend to defend all of this claim.
What do I do know and does it normally go this far? or am I just being unlucky!!

Sorry if its a straight forward thing, I just want to do this right.
Any Help would be greatley Appreciated.

    Jackie

Ps sorry if i have posted this on the wrong bit
