Fuming about atos medical

Just a note for anyone being told they are to be assessed at a medical you are allowed by law to ask for it to be recorded. considering the fact they only have 141 centers and between them a grand total of 10 recorders you can certainly expect a long delay.

Well its been a little over a year since i started this thread!

I failed the medical and was awarded 12 points and the report stated i could walk over 200 meters :mad:

I was fuming but going by how i was treated at the medical its self i was not surprised by the decision.I gathered letters from my own doctor and also my consultant and sent them in as evidence with my appeal papers.2 weeks ago i received a letter out of the blue stating my appeal was successful! i did not even have to attend despite asking for an oral hearing! Has this happened to anybody before? im very surprised this has happened.

Im also very happy to hear that you can now have your atos medicals recorded, I am still very angry regarding how i was treated and just how they seemed to have twisted everything i told them in the report,I have heard stories similar in the past but always thought they where from people "putting on disabilities" that was pretty obvious and them moaning that atos's didn't believe them. But after my own personal experience it is clear to me that this system is well and truly CORRUPT. it is absolutely shocking and disgusting that this is genuinely happening, and to think there are so many people that still say that the system is fair and if you have a true disability etc you have nothing to worry about, well im sorry but you people need to open your eyes this is a reality!
