You cannot have a system that decides if the fraud is worth investigating based entirely on how much it is going to cost to investigate it!
You shouldn't, that's true. But unfortunately, you do. The police are much the same.

And that's before you factor in the political considerations as well.

Why are people not putting the same energy into demanding ATOS is investigated for fraud, they are ripping of the tax payer in my opinion, and to the tune of around 100 million a year....
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
    [/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that
[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)
  • There has to be somewhere in the ECHR rules that would slap ATOS down ?
The right to a full and correct medical assesment by a specialits in each related field.

    Build: overweight

What the hell has your build got to do with anything?? I fail to see why they need to include your build in a medical to find out if you are fit for work. I am a wheelchair user myself and I can't think of to many of my disabled friends who aren't overweight!

i had no problems with the doorways or furniture, yes that's because i was being pushed in a wheelchair....

This sums it up for me, so what they are saying is you're fit for work, if we take all the other things out of consideration, and you have someone push you around when you're at work??

    Idiots, complete and utter idiots.

I would assume they ask about weight (or just guess it apparently) because there is an issue of increasing amounts of claimants that claim for disability because they are obese or morbidly obese.

  • Massive amounts of information re the esa system can be found at dwp examination blog and forum we have learned a lot in the last 18months.Filling in the ESA 50 form correctly is very important Atos look for things that are consistant with the descriptors ,using the wording in the descriptors is a great advantage, being prepared for the WCA is also a must.No one will pass if they go to the assessment unaware of what it entails, the doubters may one day have to go themselves ,I assure you they will soon change their tune.
The ESA WCA system is corrupt through and through in the end it will become undefendable as more and more people get to understand the corruption.

There's no way to use the descriptors, they ask leading questions, reword the same question to get the answer that suits them and they even can't be bothered to lie convincingly.

In my medical she asked if i read to which i replied not any more but i used to love it. She then gets out a paragraph and asks me to read it to 'test my eyes'!:rotfl:

She also said during the physical if i experience pain i should tell her where it is and describe it etc. but it says on the ATOS website that HCPs are not to request anything during the physical that could cause pain. She never once said do not do anything that will cause you pain, only to describe my pain when it occurred.

They need to be pelted with frogs legs and garlic and told to !!!!!! off back to France. Can you imagine if they were being used for the same job in france? The French would guillotine them.

Maybe she was just checking to see at what level your eyesight was? That is reasonable. If I told someone that I can't see to read, would it be accepted without question? Surely she was entitled to check for her self?

As for having to do something to find at what point the pain set in. Again, everyone could say they couldn't move their legs due to pain. "OK, you can't walk!" She was seeing for herself.

As for her not being allowed to cause you pain. If you knew that that was what would happen, you should have told her. Then give her an example yourself to show when the pain came in.

You surely can't expect them to believe everything you say?
