Unsolicited catalogues (Betterware)

I am unlikely ever to buy from Betterware but appreciate that their reps are only trying to make a living. Because of that I usually go to the effort of returning the catalogue to my local rep when he fails to turn up on the appointed day to collect it in the, possibly incorrect, belief that it will cost him money if I don't.
However I am getting fed up of finding the catalogue pushed halfway through the letterbox as an open invitation to thieves while I am on holiday, or at any time for that matter, further compounded by the wind blowing the rain through and soaking the carpet. The security aspect is not helped when a catalogue left outside for collection is not uplifted.
I intend to return this latest catalogue with a written request that he puts the thing completely through peoples' boxes (I am not alone in suffering from this) pointing out the possible consequences for the householder if he doesn't (though any intelligent person should be aware of this, let alone any information that Betterware should be giving them).
I want to reinforce the position by saying that future problems will be the subject of a formal complaint but I don't know if there is any appropriate body to deal with this. Does anyone know if some authority can be referred to?

Why don't you just put a note on the catalogue that you don't require anymore?
Your security will be left intact and the rep will have less work, simples.:hello:0 -
I used to put our catalogue out for a couple of days, if it was not picked up I kept it for a week then it went in re-cycling.
As per the above post I put a post it note in the catalogue bag requesting it not be delivered to me anymore.
Same goes for all catalogues through my door.. Avon etc...0 -
My cat goes straight back outside the day its received0

sunnysea - I feel sorry for your poor cat!
(I know you meant catalogue, btw)0 -
It's unsolicited mail and yet the rep. gets miffed if you explain it has gone to the great recycling bin rather than waiting by your front door for him to call. I explained that I would not buy but if he wanted to deliver the catalogue he was welcome but it would go into the bin. Strangely I've had no more of them.0

when you put your note in the next catalogue make sure you remember to put your address on because if he goes through a big pile at the end of a collecting run he won't know who you are!0

I have a sign on the door but they ignore it, so:D as they have to pay for their catalogues I rip in half and leave out on collection day, they soon get the message. Unfortunately they have a high turn over of agents so have to repeat every few months.0

I keep teling them I don't want it don't put them through my door but as someone has already said it's a new person every other month and they never stop. Grr.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

i may or may not ever order from them and i do understand the betterware guys are trying to make a living ....BUT
when it gets shoved in my letterbox without asking ,and i toss it with the junk mail by accident , i don't expect the rep to stand there and tell me off for throwing it away . even had the nerve to tut at me . told her not to bother in future ..i didn't ask for it in the first place . so you cannot be upset with whatever happens to it .
haven't seen them since i put the big " NO COLD CALLERS" sign on our doorBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
