    I'm reading everything on going to court now but need Terms and Conditions for Lloyds but not sure for when. I opened my acc. 1977! changed to joint when I married in 1984 but am reclaiming charges for the last 6 years.
    What date should I try and look for?
    I have a copy T&Cs from 2003, is that OK?
  • Two and a half months and two letters sent to lloyds T.S.B warning them of court action and still no reply from them.
    The bare faced cheek of them.
    I'm getting to the point where i can't be bothered even though they owe me nearly 2 grand.
    Do you guys think i should start the court proceedings and do you have any idea how much it usually cost to start them?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated :A

    Presumably you gave them 14 days to reply or you would take them to court, so thats what you have to do.

    You'll find a link to court costs in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.

    Hi, I went via my local court with Lloyds and they had til today to respond. Obviously I need to check with the court to see if they have but if not, what then?
    i have changed to banking with Halifax and on the court forms asked for any money to be paid into that account.. (if you don't ask etc etc) is this likely or can they use the money to pay off any outstanding loan/cc I had with them?
    Many thanks in advance, Tania xx

    The question is: - How long can you live without the money?

    I have a similar claim in with Barclays.

    I was charged £1580 over the years. I wrote to them and they offered £780, I refused and they upped the offer to £1080 and I refused again and went to court costing me £120 (this charge is applicable on claims from £1,000 to £5,000).

    I was told today by a member of Barclays Bank Litigation Team that just before it goes to court they will settle the full amount plus costs and interest (totalling over £2,030) but it could take you between 2-3 months to get to this stage and that's if they offer you it or you win in court.

    Check in the Reclaimed Bank Charges SUCCESS stories and search for your bank to find out how others have done. :)

    Don't forget that there may have been 2 cases recently that lost at court but there must be hundreds daily winning!!!! :)
    Got It & Spent It :dance:
    IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)
    MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)
    I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)
    CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)
    BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)
    On Hold :mad:
    A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)
    BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)
    BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)
    ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)

    Hi Everyone

    Can you help? First posting on site.

    I hit the TSB for £1824.72 of what I think are illegal charges broken down as follows.
    Account charges £274
    O/D usage fee £25
    O/D interest £58.22
    O/D excess fee £1145
    Unpaid DD etc £322.50

    Have been offered £750.00 today.

    I know I cannot claim O/D interest having looked at your postings so I don't expect that back. But are there any other of the above charges that I cannot claim?

    If all charges above are illegal, is £750 reasonable to be offered.

    Thanks for your interest.

    £750 is the usual goodwill gesture from Lloyds and it is very likely to be in your bank before you can accept or decline.

    Before you go much further I would check your claim and total it with the correct charges that you can claim. You need to find out what Account Charges are, the interest you can't claim and the rest seem okay, then you can make an informed decision on the offer. Your claim needs to be accurate when/if you take this to court.
