Hi, I'd be grateful for some advice.
I wrote to Lloyds to request my charges back (in the region of £4,500 ex interest) and after the second letter when I said I would consider court if they did not refund, I received a letter just before Christmas. It said they were prepared to offer me £750 in part-payment, final offer, and this would be credited to my account within a few days.
Because of Christmas and closing times, they will not have got my letter to say that this is not acceptable and I intend to pursue the full amount.
I have just checked my account and they have credited £750. I'm not sure what I should do - I feel that my options are:
1. to keep the money and write to them to say I accept it as a part-payment but would continue to pursue them for the balance of the full amount.
2. write them a cheque and send along with a letter to say I would not accept this much and will pursue them for the full amount.
3. go into the branch and discuss with an advisor, but I suspect they won't have much of a clue as to what is going on or what to do with me!
Any advice re where I stand on this?
Many thanks,

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have read this, but as far as I can see there is no advice for my situation. I definitely do not want to accept a partial refund, however I am unsure whether to keep the money they have already given and continue to ask for the difference, or whether to ask them to remove from my account and then register to take them to court for the full amount?
Thanks, Hannah0 -
If you go to the Consumer Action Group and register, you'll find lots of advice and real results from people who have won - most banks are covered.
It's supported by Martin and is similar to drive to this chat site:

The concensus seems to be fight for all the money, but the ultimate decision is yours.

Cheers. Have already used these guys' helpful advice to get to this stage.
Anyone else out there had a partial refund payment paid to them? Did you keep it or ask them to remove it because you only wanted the full amount?
I know I'm not giving in to a partial payment, it would just be good to know if I'm prejudicing myself by keeping this little bit whilst continuing to ask for the rest.0 -

1. to keep the money and write to them to say I accept it as a part-payment but would continue to pursue them for the balance of the full amount.
Incorporate these words into the next letter and carry on to court if you don't want to accept this as a final offer.

Hello all,
I have two Lloyds TSB accounts, my own one (claiming £560) and a joint one (claiming £480).
I have gone through the two letter process with both accounts, seperate letters for each account, and on 29/12/06 issued court claim for my account, (£560 plus £80 costs) and 2/1/07 their seven days was up from the joint account 2nd letter so claimed £480 plus £50 costs on that day.
Today I have recieved what looks like a standard offer letter telling me that £616 would be depoisited into my account in the next few days. However their is no reference on the letter as to which account this settlement relates to, or indeed whether it relates to both claims?
I wonder whether any others have experience on claiming on multiple accounts and what the likely scenario is?0 -

Have just checked moneyclaim and the bank has defended all the claim on 27/12/6. What happens now?
Thanks
