o2 price increase

Hi, I've tried trawling through the posts here and on the O2 forum but can't find an answer to my question - as I'm already registered here I thought I'd try before registering at O2....
I'm on a legacy O2 broadband contract, paying £12.77 a month. I have an O2 PAYG phone linked to the account and received the discount for a few months, but that phone's no longer used and so I no longer get the discount.
I got the letter from O2, and it said my new price would be £9.50....... I'm assuming it will actually be £14.50 as I don't get the discount - can anybody confirm that?
I know, I could ask O2 direct, but if there's a chance they've made a mistake in my favour I'd rather not rock the boat.

so people are getting to stay on the old legacy packages with a possible £2.50/month discount or 6 months free in return for commiting to a 12 month contract.....i like the sounds of that.
i wonder why some only get the £2.50/month (saving £30 over a year) where as some are getting 6 months free (saving as much as £57)....0 -
The £2.50 off offer is their first attempt! Some will bite, others need more tasty bait!0

I understand about not wanting to rock the boat - depends if you are prepared to pay the £14.50 or not. If so their mistake willl be a bonus (until they realise and recoup).Long-haul Supporters DFW 120

Called O2 today and extended my contract by another 12 months in return for 6 of the 12 months free, staying on my current Home Premium package. Can confirm that I was told I would have a 14 day cooling off period.
I was paying £10 a month for the package (£10.21 after VAT increase) as my mobile phone contract is also with O2, and understand that they were hiking the price up to £13 per month as of next month. Would anyone know whether this is £13 a month including VAT?
I've just checked my O2 account and it says:
My package: O2 Home Broadband Premium
Monthly charge*: £ 15.32
Contract: 12 months
Date contract ends: 20 February 2012
* This includes your O2 mobile discount. Your promotions aren't included. You can see them on your bill.
Before I call O2 again, any ideas why I'm being charged £15.32 a month instead of the quoted £13?*New Target*: Save £50k by 31/12/2011 - (£40,391.81 / £50,000) 80.78%
2010 New Target: Save £30k before turning 23 (Aug 2010) - (£33,475.76 / £30,000) 111.56%
Savings Target: Save £25,000 by 05 April 2010 - (£27,042.96 / £25,000) 108.17% :j0 -

This is the current monthly charge (ie prior to the 1/4/11 increase).
They are very efficient over this.
You should get an email confirming the discount within hours of agreeing to it, and if you check your online account you'll see amendments to take place on your next bill to reflect that you are now getting BB free!0 -
I have also received a letter from O2 saying that my monthly BB cost will be £10.34
I have not seen anyone else state this amount!!!
I was actually referred to O2 via an employee which entitled me to receive the best available BB package for £7.50 a month (without needing to be an O2 mobile customer) which is around 11 - 12Mb so i think this is the premium package. Has anyone else been referred that has received this price increase??0
