Are you sure the 6 months free isn't for cancelling your old unlimited package?
That seems to be the offer they are using to entice us to take out the new (limited) basics package.0 -

"Thank you for choosing to stay with O2 Home Broadband on O2 Home Broadband Premium.
Your contract has been extended to 16/02/2012 and your loyalty reward of First 6 months free on O2 HBB Premium 12 month product will now be applied. We will let you know when this comes to an end."

Just got a an email stating [FONT=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif](From 31 March 2011 your monthly broadband and home phone cost (including line rental) will be £16.00 and your monthly call package will be £2.50)
Im still within my contract which ends 31 oct 2011.. is there anything I can do about these price rises?

If you phone and ask to leave they will offer you a good deal to stay (though that will mean starting a new 12 month contract).0

Just called O2, said wanted MAC for price increases and was going to Sky. Was offered 6 months free. Still on Premium package with 12 month contract, as is still showing on my online account information, so not on newer packages. Happy days0

They've given me 6 months free and 6 months at £9.50. Same package (currently £7.66). :j
When i rang up went for the £2.50 month reduction on standard package that they offered,= £7.00 p.m..... looks like i should have tried harder for your deal. Mine = £84 p.y. yours = £57, maybe i might ring up and cancel again under 14 day cooling and see if i can get a better offer.:) Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.sanfly0
