Thanks all. I would feel guilty of taking up GP appointment and asking for the sick note... Will try and keep going on. Will see what bloods and urine sample show, I might have to collect enough courage to ask for note next time used midwife or consultant.
You've got to listen to your body. Any pregnancy is hard work, more so with multiples. If you feel that time off work is what you need, then do it! You're not wrong to ask the GP to help you - you must look after all three of you!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Today I shall mostly be wearing a racy Doreen brassiere.:o0

Hi Everyone - hope you and bumps are keeping well!!
I am now 22 weeks and 4 days! I am starting to buy a few things to get organised for baby coming... I was out yesterday and sticked up on some white vests and sleepsuits from M&S.... I am staying team Yellow!
I wanted to ask if anyone knows how many bottles that I would need for feeding the baby? I have borrowed a Tommy Timmee serilizer - so getting the bottles is the next thing on my list!!!0 -

Ladies please remember the following rules
PERSONAL DETAILS AND THE OFFERING OF ITEMS FOR SALE/TRADE/EXCHANGE/SWAP/GIFTS
Please refrain from requesting the exchange of personal details either on the forum, via PM or email; particularly for the purposes of selling/trading/exchanging/swapping or giving as gifts. This includes posting links to your ebay auctions, or other forms of advertising.
If someone appears to be selling items on the board it may be deleted by the board guides/forum team. The aim is to protect site users as however honourable the intention, your safety is paramount.
MEDICAL ADVICE
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: Sorry, giving or asking for medical advice is not permitted on this forum as it’s not what this site is about. While discussing medical insurance policies, cheaper ways to see consultants, cashback for alternative health treatments and how to get specific medication cheaper (legally) are all perfectly acceptable we ask you specifically not to discuss what to do in the event of certain medical problems (please see this rule on the Health Board). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com
CODES/VOUCHERS:
For legal reasons codes are only permitted on the Discount Codes n Vouchers (Online and Offline) Board and must be sourced and indicated who it refers to. If in doubt please read this and this for an explanation. Any posts not meeting these rules will be moved. Do not pm others requesting such codes
FREE TO JOIN BABY CLUBS:
Tesco Baby Club - Free Pampers Hamper containing a few wipes, nappy sample, some Olay stuff. You need to buy a pack of Pampers to get it, and it's not stocked in every store so check before you set off.
Boots Parenting Club - Free changing bag when you buy a pack of nappies, I think it's Huggies but it might be Pampers. You need to wait for the voucher to arrive.
Sainsburys Little Ones - Free Mum and Baby bundle with toiletries, to be collected from store.
Emma's Diary - You should get the vouchers in the pack from your midwife but if you don't or you want more freebies you can also register and download them here. 3 bags containing lots of samples and a can of Peartiser.
Cow and Gate - You get a free cuddly cow but you need to find a code, these are normally in Parenting mags so either have a look in the shop or on the Discount Codes board.
Aptamil - Free cuddly polar bear.
Those are probably the main ones but have a look around as other places will send out vouchers, nappy samples etc. Also most of these will send you a voucher for money off nappies/wipes so keep an eye out for offers, I got 6 packs of Pampers Sensitive wipes for £1.66 with the £2 off voucher that came in my Bounty pack.
A more comprehensive list of freebies and vouchers is here.0 -
Hello hope everyone's feeling well.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere where I can get measured for a maternity bra? - if my breasts get any bigger my current bras will not hold them.
I live near Kettering, Northamptonshire and I'm willing to travel to Corby, Wellingborough and Leicester.
Otherwise recommendations in Manchester would be useful as I can go when I visit my parents.
Another question - is anyone else getting unreasonably emotional? I seem to get really tired in the afternoons (no excuse as I'm not currently working) and start to cry at the smallest things. I'm guessing it's hormonal but it's really frustrating.
Obstetrician appointment went ok, seemed generally pointless. Got an appointment for 28 weeks where they'll also do another scan. Presumably at that point they'll want to discuss birth plans and things?
I know weekend is just over but really looking forward to next weekend as our friends who are expecting a baby at the beginning of April are coming to visit and I haven't seen them for 5 months. It's going to be lovely to be able to chat0 -
MrsManda, I know Mothercare offer a free fitting service but not used them before. I find M & S are generally the most accurate, failing that then Bravissimo if you have one locally. Dont bother measuring yourself, I did this over the weekend because my 34DD & 32E bras are leaving red marks and according to what I measured I should be in 32C. Well I tried on an old 32C just for the hell of it - it was ok if I only want to cover half a breast and want my nipples sticking out lol!!0
-
Laura, do you know whether M&S are any good at bra fittings for maternity bras?
I've used them before for my general bras but I get the feeling maternity bras are different as your size changes as pregnancy progresses. - Ofcourse I could be wrong, I just don't fancy having to spend a fortune on buying new bras every month or two
I've measured myself in the past then gone to a proper fitting, I've Never been right so just gave up.0
