I was measured at M&S for maternity bras and would recommend them, the lady I dealt with was lovely0

Another question - is anyone else getting unreasonably emotional? I seem to get really tired in the afternoons (no excuse as I'm not currently working) and start to cry at the smallest things. I'm guessing it's hormonal but it's really frustrating.
Obstetrician appointment went ok, seemed generally pointless. Got an appointment for 28 weeks where they'll also do another scan. Presumably at that point they'll want to discuss birth plans and things?
I've just started washing and sorting clothes into labelled drawers according to size (till we get the nursery done out properly) and it's little bloody socks that make me sob every single time!
I'm operating on a principle of blissful ignorance where things like birth plans are concerned - I quite enjoyed getting it IN there, not sure getting it OUT is going to be as fun... currently my birth plan stands at "I'm scared of hospitals and would like to be out as quickly as possible since a relative died of a hospital borne infection last year, and give me as much pain relief as I scream for... and make sure my husband doesn't pass out - or if he does - that he gets a soft landing before he breaks something.... and get both me and bump out alive please!"Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
I went to M & S to get my maternity ones and was pleased with the service. The staff at our local one seen to have more experiance than they do at our local Debenhams. You can probably pick up some good bargains in the M & S sale if it is still on? I ordered a 2 pack of bras - not maternity specific though - and they were £12.50 delivered for the 2!0

Thanks Laura and Flutterby, I'll speak to my local M&S
Dizzi you made me giggle, thank you
I've spent too much time in hospitals to be particularly bothered about them but definitely agree with not looking forward to labour and wanting pain relief. It's be nice to have a quick and simple labour where baby to turns up on time so my OH can be there and so we have a chance at getting to my brother in law's wedding.
Haven't bought any baby related things yet so thankfully I don't have socks to sob over yetPlanning on shopping in February after the abnormality scans tells us that baby is ok.

Oh if you're wanting complications and due dates potentially clashing with things... this one's going to be fun to work out! I'm due 22nd May - and my hometown is a good 3 hours drive away from where we now live (and also the hospital that killed our relative - so I will NEVER agree to be admitted to it as a patient - hubby's under instructions that if I get knocked over by a bus, he hits the motorway and gets me anywhere but the hospital in question!).
Anyway - parents are getting made Mayor and Mayoress (I'm a bit of a political orphan at times) of the hometown on the 19th May and they really want me to be there... but there's the risk of premature poppage and no way on this earth am I going near that flipping hospital! Not quite sure how this one's going to pan out yet!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Hi Ladies
popping over from less than 12 weeks preg thread, i am 10 + 1 today and would like a bit of advice about waist extenders as i am starting to feel uncomfortable in a few pairs of my trousers.
just wondered what people recommend? was just looking on ebay as some are just buttons with elastic and others have material inserts...what worked for you?

eek! Is there another hospital near where the ceremony is which has a maternity unit you could go to if it was necessary? I'm sure your OH wouldn't mind not having a glass of bubbly just incase he needed to drive you to the hospital.
My EED was the 15th June which is my OH's birthday, his brother's wedding is on the 16th June ~4hrs from where we live so we checked the directions from the wedding venue to the nearest maternity unit just in case.
After the last scan my EDD was moved to 8th June.
The 10th June is my brother inlaw's birthday and my OH has really important exams on the 11th and 12th June in London and due to distance he's going to have to stay in London the nights of the 10th and 11th, coming home after his last exam on the 12th.
Just hoping that baby can arrive before he leaves for London or after he's home.0 -

Hi everyone :j
Having just woke up from a power nap, I have physically forced myself to come out of lurkdom LOL
Rest assured I really do read along every day but have just been so exhausted lately. Trying to be more proactive in 2012 so here I am
I posted a while back, I am due the same day as dizziblonde, our scan was the same day, I have found out I am having a girlam really pleased, would have been happy with either, but alot of boys in OH side of family so I was starting to think I would end up like Victoria Beckham with a brood of boys then a girl :rotfl:I can imagine one girl but I could never imagine only one boy for some reason!!!!
Dizziblonde you are putting me to shame I am so disorganised and you are talking clothes in drawers:rotfl:I remember ME freaking YOU out when I was talking buggies
Congrats to everyone that has given birth :T
JenJade if you still read along you would be proud of me on the Huggies front. I have got 1 newborn starter pack to start me off, bought with Boots points so £0 spend. I have been for my free Tesco pack through the Bounty pack. For anyone interested, Huggies wipes are buy one get two free at Tesco right now but not sure if the £1 off wipes voucher works as well. Still a good deal either way I think and planning on stocking up
I have been feeling okay apart from being really tired. I have appt with midwife tomorrow so going to ask them what happens now as feel a bit lost with no more scans.
To the person looking at maternity bras (sorry I haven't quoted you or put your name) I agree M and S. They were helpful and I didn't even get measured :rotfl:I would recommend making an appointment as the next one was 2 hours away for mine so I decided to leave it. But I tried on some myself and as I went in she said just to press the button if I needed someone just to check it or get other sizes.
I got the 2 pack maternty bras in the sale £12 I think, first time ever I haven't had underwired/padded and they are really really comfy. You get 1 black and 1 white. I also got a crop top in the sale for like £3 to wear in bed. So I would def recommend them but maybe pop in/ring your local store and make an appt and am sure it will be well worth it
Think that's all for now
ETA Epic post sorry LOL also Dizziblonde can't believe all that around your due date :S I thought I had it bad with possible football promotion around the same time (I am NOT into football but you know who is!!!)Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016
