Hi ladies, the scan was ok yesterday, the little monster was still screwed up in a little ball so they really struggled! I had to go off for a walk again, it woke the baby up but he/she was still all scrunched up! One of the measurements in the head was a bit low but they said they thought it was ok and not to worry but they'd get the consultant to check it anyway. Iassume if I don't hear anything then its fine. I had a bit of a google and all I can find is that it can be related to chromosonal disorders such as downs syndrome. Luckily we had the CVS test done following our high risk downs result so we know baby doesn't have anything like that.

Ah that happened to my friend Lisa and all worked out OK, she was just measuring in a low percentile but by 32 weeks was fine. 22+5 for us today, looking forward to reaching the v day milestone, getting lots of kicks and movement today which is just lovely!
  • Congrats on V day Happydays, only 6 days till ours, cant wait as OH wants to wait till then to start properly buying bits for baby and I'm bursting to get stuff!!!

Glimmer, the hospital did the same to us with the echogenic bowel, told us all the bad stuff and it wasn't until we saw the consultant a couple of days later we were told they are 99% sure it will be nothing, yeah thanks for that!

Lisa, some of our babies measurements were a little on the small side at our 20 week scan but still just about on the right side of ok. They didnt seem bothered and just said it really varies at this stage so dont panic, I'm sure mini-Lisa will be perfect.

Hope you all had a great last baby-free Christmas - I REALLY cant wait till next year :0) Baby is moving so much now and so strong, was kicking OH in the back the other night lol. Tummy seems to be growing quite a lot now too, OH pointed out today that its caught up with my boobs now - hmmm, not good!

Had to chase the insurance company up again about the car as I was supposed to take the hire car back today. They have extended the lease to next Friday and I have a nice cheque for £2050 coming from them, much more than I thought I would be able to manage to get out of them so very pleased, now just need to remember I do actually need to buy another car with it and cant blow it all on stuff for Eric (our bump name)

If I dont manage to post again before NYE, have a good one xx

Afternoon ladies! We were right down on page 3!

I have to go back the the feto-maternal unit at the big hospital for the specialist consultant to check out that measurement that was small. It's the same one who did my CVS. the midwife who rang said that the consultant at the local hospital would rather I had it checked out by the experts who have all the state of the art scanning equipment but that I should be encouragedc by the fact we've had the CVS and it was all ok. Our appointment is on Tuesday afternoon so once again we have a long weekend of waiting and worrying ahead of us!

On a happier not I have had a lovely morning, met up with Snoopytweety and had a lovely couple of hours chatting about babies and stuff! Just what I needed to take my mind off things and really lovely to finally know someone round here, especially as we're both having babies at around the same time.

Hope you're all ok and looking forward to the newyear celebrations.

Ah - I had a lovely morning too Lisa, was nice to get out of the house. I am sure Tuesday will be fine, yet another chance for you to see LO, you will be so familiar with him/her by the time they get here that you will know exactly what they look like lol.

Just put another coat of paint on the nursery, so tomorrow we should be able to start unpacking and will then be ready for furniture when it gets delivered in early feb!

Lets meet again soon, we could go through our lists - see if we have missed anything lol x x xx

Hi, is there not a thread for week 25 to 40? I love reading through the 12 to 24 week thread but what about beyond that? :D
  • That will be the big pregnancy thread, some of us are not 24 weeks yet others are literally in labour now
