Lovely scan picture Alizee and congrats on V day Goppers, its all going so quickly now!!
I am leaving on Friday 13th Apirl!! My due date is 25th so that gives me almost 2 weeks before baby is supposed to arrive. I will then return to work full time on 15th October and my OH will take the remaining 13 weeks that are paid.
Got to give my hire car back today and still not had a settlement figure from the other persons insurance company yet so going to have to have a rant at the in a minute, oh and picked up a stinking cold so not a happy bunny at the moment
Sorry to hear that you still had no news about the settlement for your car!!!! Let us now how it goes after the phone call.
I am planning on taking the full year, and I still need to get out of HR what will happen with the bank holidays whilst I am on maternity leave. There will be 9 days in the year I am off, so it would be great to have those either before or on my return. And - I just checked the company's annual leave policy, and if Christmas Eve falls on Monday, an additional day will be given as holiday, which makes it even better!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Glad all is problem free.
In the next couple of weeks you will start to feel loads of movement - is this your first? I am 26 weeks with second and can feel so much every day.
I had a dream last night that at the 4d scan (a week today), baby was led like a typical man sits and could see everything lol, so this morning I am convinced we are having a boy, although have not found out.....
Yep tis my 1st and with an anterior placenta so hoping this has something to do with the lack of feeling... baby was having a rave insidewhen I went for my 20 week scan, the sonographer was quite surprised I couldn't feel anything so I'm not *too* worried!
Interesting dream! Lol xxSealed Pot Challenge Member #8810 -
Morning everyone
Laura, sorry you've still not got a settlement figure, hope your conversation with the insurance company won't be too stressful and you get your answers.
Goppers I naturally have low blood pressure though it seems to have got lower over the last week or two. Headaches have been a constant - I was advised to make sure I drink lots and make sure I eat regularly and to stand up slowly. I now also have to be lying down when I have any blood tests. If you get multiple nose bleeds do give the midwife a quick ring just so they're aware. My midwife is a bit dithery at the moment as she's slightly concerned about my low BP but I have a long family history of pre-eclampsia for the 1st born so I think she prefers low BP to high readingI hope it settles for you, feeling dizzy is not fun.
I'm sorry if I'm being thick again but what's 'V day'?
I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and over the last 2/3 days I've suddenly started to show - at the weekend there was nothing there and now there's a discernible bulge (and not just because I've been eating crisps whatever my husband says). It's not yet visible to the general public because I generally wear baggy tops but my trousers are starting to feel tight so tried to go shopping for some maternity wear yesterday but due to the lack of decent sized shops in my area I failed
Going to need to go to a large city after Christmas.
Hope everyone's ready and settled for Christmas0 -
V-day is when you get to 24 weeks which is the point the baby is classed as being viable - it has a chance of surviving if it is born after 24 weeks.0

Thanks guys, DH and I are a bit clueless as we don't have any friends to ask advice from, so I was worried finishing at 38 weeks was perhaps leaving it a little late, but touch wood things are progressing well and I've been feeling well so that should be OK!
Day off today so why I woke up at 5:30 I do not know, I'm looking forward to getting the living room sorted and the tree up so I can start feeling all festive. Bump is popping out a little more so although I'm still small I have a nice little rounded tum to rub and don't think I look at that inbetween chunky stage anymore!
DH has been amazing this week, I've suddenly started to feel a bit panicky again as I'd graduated from pregnancy books to babycare and thought 'this isn't as common sense as people say it is, we've a lot to learn' he's been very patient and listened to me wittering on with 'did you know...' all week, we could both do with a break I think!0 -
Just checked my contract, and it clearly says that my annual leave days are in addition to the public holidays - so I should be able to get those days as holiday either before or after maternity leave as well!!!! And checked our sick pay policy, and it is quite good one in my contract - 65 days at full pay + 65 day at half pay. It just made me happier.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

I didnt think about bank holidays, there are only 13 of us in the company and 3 of those are directors so no HR to ask. I think I'll only be off for 3 any way but we do get them in addition to our 5 weeks so I'll ask my boss.
I have managed to get the hire car till 29th so that is good. They said they hadn't had the engineers report although I was told on Monday they did so as soon as they have it they will call me and tell me how much they think the car was worth before the accident. I know it books at £2k in Glass guide so hopefully it will be around that mark. You would think that as they are paying for my hire car they would make an effort to get it sorted asap!!!
Got to work tomorrow - gutted! :0( but should hopefully only be a half day then down the pub for a few non-alcoholic drinks.
If I dont manage to get on here again before just wanted to wish you and your families all a lovely Christmas - next years will certainly be a bit different!! xx0 -
Just picked up one of these breast pumps half price in a nearby tesco extra https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/49565109#Comment_49565109, thought some of you may be interested as have great reviews and closer to £100 elsewhere.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Hi Ladies, hope you are all well?
Last day at work for me today - got a half day so home soon, cannot wait for some christmassy time at home, and finally getting that nursery sorted.
Lots of kicking going on now - it was just movement before, but definite kicks now, and hubby has felt her, and we can see my tummy changing when she does it - it's so lovely, but a little weird at the same time lol.
Going to pick up our veg and turkey when I leave work, and then it will be a relaxing wait for christmas day! x x xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -
I have just discovered that my DH has managed to accidentally thow one of my mum's xmas pressies in the bin!!!! Well we assume thats what happened as it was in one of his bags and we now can't find it anywhere! Had to order another (its a radley purse!) online but it won't arrive in time now.
Met my friend for lunch earlier, had burger and chips and a diet coke, only the 3rd or 4th time i've had coke since I got PG and I think bubs likes it.....I'm getting kicked like mad here! Think I'd best have some before my re-scan next week....might help get the little monster to move into a half decent position! Saying that, it has def moved since the last scan anyway as the kicks are in a different place.0
