Morning ladies. We were on page 3!!!

I'm sooo tired, can't wait to finish for xmas but I'm working 'till Friday lunchtime.

MrsManda, I started feeling movement at about 15 weeks but I didn't feel kicks till about 19 weeks.

I'd love to hear my baby's heartbeat but my midwife doesn't listen to it at all during pregnancy. I don't know if thats something specific about her of if its all midwifes in my area.

Today and tomorrow left for me before our Christmas break!!!! Wrapped all the 'boxed' presents yesterday, and asked my sister to get gift bags for other, as it is much cheaper there, so I am sorted. Now just need to review clothes I am taking with me and any outstanding washing.

I used our doppler again last night (only third time - we had it for about two weeks), and found both heart beats! One baby is much more to the right, and the second one is just to the left from the mid-line.

Right, I am off to acupuncture now, hopefully the school traffic won;t be too bad - it is only couple of miles, but can take a while to get there!

  • Hope everyone is doing ok this morning, and ready for christmas?!

We went for our 20 week scan earlier this week and everything is looking fine, guess everyone is a bit nervous but I was really uptight about it, convinced there would be something wrong so was very relieved. And its a boy :) Have to go back at 32 weeks as apparently the placenta is very low which normally sorts itself out naturally but might mean having to have a C-Section when the time comes. Kind of glad we get to go back for another scan to be honest - seems like a long time to wait til May to see him again so going in March will be a treat!

Bought my first thing for him yesterday, pack of three little body suits with blue cars on :)

If anyone is looking for maternity wear I definitely recommend New Look, I got a load of stuff in there. But if you order online maybe go up a size - prebump I was a size 10 but I had to get 14s in a few things.

    Congratulations on team blue!

I don't agree that you need bigger size. I got the same size jeans as I was before pregnancy, and they are literally falling off!

    Thankyou!

Maybe its just me then, must admit I didn't even try on any jeans or trousers - I need the long length and they do either long length or maternity, not long maternity so I'm making do with normal jogging bottoms and bump bands or dresses at the moment!

I bought some leggings and yoga pants from Matalan the other day - and had to get size 8!!!! I have never in my life been that size! (at a push 12, but over the last few years it was 14-16)

Haven't bought anything for the baby yet, and will probably wait until after New year (will be 17 weeks), most likely until after 20 week scan.

I have bought my first maternity clothes when was about 10-11 weeks. Went to Matalan yesterday and got another pair of leggings and yoga pants, plus pyjama. Don't buy M&P leggings - expensive, but rubbish at the top as I discovered after wearing them just a couple of days! (stretched out a lot, and doesn't shrink back with the wash, so keeps falling down unless I tuck them under my bra!)

I have h&m and next leggings and love both of them :)

No i don't agree to go up a size either, I am a 10 and have got the same size from new look. Suppose it depends what the item is, I have a pair of combats from next that are stitched very tightly at the side so prob should have gone up a size but didn't....

I had to go up a size in certain items (h&M) and down a size in others (next) so i suppose it depends on how the maternity wear is made for that specific shop.
