airhostess wrote:I'm thinking of selling with HN!! Are they really the only online agent that can put your house or Rightmove, and which payment package did you all go for - the payment up front or the commission??
Any more tips & recommendations welcome... if you went for the upfront payment, do you list on other websites too?
no half a percent and a load of other online agents can also put on Rm, but they charge more. i did consider 1/2 a % but the photos werent as good IMHO:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Well, an update - we finally went live on Rightmove/HN this morning. Fingers are crossed - very impressed with the details they go into, but not especially impressed with some of the photos they took (the bathroom and spare bedroom).

As a Conveyancing Solicitor (http://www.rwco.co.uk ) can I point out that it isn't just a case of finding buyers, but
a) checking they can proceed (get mortgage, have a "good" buyer for their property, etc); AND
b) making sure that they and any chain below them does proceed.
See some tips about this at http://www.choosing-estate-agent.info/selling_privately.htmRICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
I have a property that just gone on HN. So far so good, the guy who came round (DAN) to take the photo's was excellent, he used a professional camera, unlike other agents who use consumer digi cameras. The floor plan, pictures and virtual tours all look great. The customer service is great so far.0

Got to agree here - my flat looks the best on Rightmove as far as detail is concerned. It's both interesting and frustrating seeing your online stats though - we've had 8 people look at the main page since we went live, but no viewings booked yet
Cust service has been great with changing description and adding photos I took myself.

Hi, just thought I'd add my twopenneth on House Network - I did post a glowing reference on their services back before Christmas but it got deleted cos someone reported it as spam!!  My guess, a disgruntled high street agent worried about their business!!!
Couldn't praise them highly enough - excellent photos and 360s on Right Move, sold within four days. About to complete on our sale, and would have completed earlier but our chain has fallen through with our vendors thanks to the appalling practices of a high street agent who encouraged gazumping to 'punish' our vendors for not putting their house on the market with them.
Don't get any of that nonsense with HN cos they're a reactive not proactive service. Having said that, they always return our calls promptly and have kept us informed every step of the way.
Will never pay the over-inflated charges of high street agents again! Money saving rules!!You'll never see a rainbow if you don't first put up with the rain . . . :happylove0 -
Well, we're now three days in to going live, we've had 19 looks at the main page but no viewings booked still

Am I expecting too much too soon??

The site appears to allow you to search a specific price band with x number of bedrooms etc for the whole of UK but I'm not able to specify the same for say, the South East or in Romford. Any one been able to do this? The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0
