housenetwork.co.uk/

Hi

I am thinking about using an online estate agent like housenetwork.co.uk, has anybody used a service like this before and is it a good way of selling and keeping the cost down.

Thanks in advance

    YES!

Ive just used them and cannot recommend them highly enough.

They dont do valuations though, so bear that in mind I chose to have 3 EAs round to get an idea what my pricing should be.

Photos went up thursday - I had vewers sunday, money, tuesday wednesday thursday last week, ( one day I had 3 lots). Housenetworks contact was fab. they clled me lovely polite helpful

I sold to the 2nd viewer.

Great covereage as they are on rightmove. plus all the others

Certainly them not having a shop window hasnt done me any harm at all

    And thephotos are superb IMHO.

    lynzpower,
Do you think the fact that you had a property to sell in East London ( i've presumed that from your location)is what made the sale so speedy? Bearing in mind everyone has their eye on that area nowadays for investment purposes. Or have you also had good feedback from others who live elsewhere? I'm tempted as well to use them but wonder whether its the actual area that is selling the property rather than how good housenetwork.co.uk is.

Their website photos of peoples' properties are very good.

Good evening: We sold with Housenetwork on the south coast of England last March: listed again with them last week in East Kent...no viewings yet but market is slow down here at the moment.
    Good luck.

chivers1977 sold same day as she went on the market- she was in Croydon IIRC ?

LIke any EA I guess they only get the same throughput on how lively the market is?

If the market is flat, then having an traditional EA might make a positive difference in that they have lists to call of people IYSWIM.

Cant sell "as investment" as its a shared ownership place, so can only sell to FTBs.

  • Good afternoon: We have had 2 viewings (same guy) and an offer today which we turned down...just waiting to hear if the purchaser makes an acceptable counter offer. We've been listed with Housenetwork for 3 weeks...once again very good service from Mark and crew. I'll keep you posted!

  • I'm using these guys http://www.ourpropertymove.co.uk/ they have been advertising in my area and its free! so we thought we would try and sell privately.

I'd save your money and give them a try before spending money I've already got 4 viewings arranged this weekend! :D
  • Good morning: Have had second offer..too low! We have priced our house competitively (the result of extensive research)...had to wait for 6 months last time before we accepted an offer..no hurry so will be patient.

i thought margate area was on the up? a lot of new projects going on over there
Oh well we only live once ;-)
  • Good afternoon: It is correct that there are many new housing projects on the go in Margate and many newly( and very poorly IMO) renovated properties have flooded the market. However large sections of the town would be unappealing to many buyers as social deprivation and associated issues continue to present huge problems: also I don't believe many people would be seriously looking at property down here at this time of year...pretty bleak weather at the moment...only the graffiti is blossoming!
    Here's looking to 2007.

P.S. We're not in Margate but the market is slow in our town as well.

They offer a brilliant package. The fact that they are on Rightmove is a brilliant carrot. So you pay £199 up front and then £199 on completion or use their flat rate of 0.50%. Im sure alot of high street estate agents just whack the properties on Rightmove and wait for the buysers so it's basicaly the same but alot cheaper!

With regards to valuations you could always get a couple of local agents rouns and see what they come up with and they do a property valuation pack which tells you of same type of houses and the price they went for in a certain radius.

Plus you don't have to put your mobile number out on the internet and shield you from any unwanted calls.

Well worth a look in my eyes
