Up stupidly early again this morning. I seriously don't know what is wrong with my body clock!

Had a crappy day yesterday. Our Disney holiday is now cancelled, very long story, one of my sisters has pulled out as she cant afford it, leaving me and the other one a higher bill if we still go, so we have made a joint decision that we cannot justify an extra £400 increase on the price for 3 nights away, so we are not going to book the holiday now. We haven't lost any money as we haven't booked it yet as couldn't do that until this month anyway as we were wanting to go in November. So I have had to tell the kids we can't go after 3 years of saving airmiles. This was then followed by a massive argument with my sister. Didn't sleep well last night at all:(

Upside is I haven't lost any money and my 10000 airmiles are still intact and can be used for something else.

On a lighter note. I still have £23 in my purse and achieved NSD number 4 yesterday:T Just 3 days left until 'payday':D

My asda delivery arrived and has been put away into my 'stock cupboard' I will be needing a few bits from there today I think, so will update my Grocery Spends later when I pay my 2nd purse.

All boys of to their dads today so just me and DD, I am planning another lazy day and hopefully NSD number 5. My toe is still really hurting so I am still trying to rest it as we have the Moonlight walk on friday.

So far this week, I have a totally blank diary during the day. This means I will be able to spend quite a lot of time at home, catching up on various things, doing housework and a lot of browsing the internet for good deals and playing around with my budgets:):j

I now do not need to find the spending money for the cancelled holiday, so this will free up a planned spend of £500 budgeted for later this year. I may decide to do some more work on the house instead as there are a few bits I would like done which I would have waited until 2012 to do.

Freecycled some old camping gear yesterday, collected last night, which has freed up a large space in my shed. This space is now going to be used for storing more 'stock'. I would really like another freezer, as this would mean I could store more bread/milk for over the school holiday periods, this may be my 1st 3rd purse spend!:T I will be keeping my eye open for a good deal!

I will need to do a couple of washes today so will be paying the washing machine fund for those, these don't effect my NSD as I havent actually spent the money, just 'moved' it. It will count as a spend once I have bought the washing machine, which is feeling like it will take forever!

Off for a browse now and a look around for bargains, have a lovely sunday everyone x

Shame about not being able to go to Disney JD, you'll have to plan a different use for your Airmiles now;)

You sound very organised and determined. I read up on the 2nd purse system...can see how it would be good, but a bit too complicated for me personally :rotfl:

What have you got left to do on the house? I seem to remember you've done a fair bit already. We moved house last year and havetonnes that needs doing....it's going to be a very slow process:(

I must admit the 2nd purse system does need a lot of time spent on it, however, the savings are significant over the long term and work out at a very healthy 'hourly wage' for the time put into it. It is not for everyone, but I love to see how productive I have been, written down on paper:D Plus the actual savings are being kept separately so you can actually see it mount up, as opposed to it disappearing within your weekly budget. It reminds me very much of the PMS challenge over on OS Board many years ago!

The house still needs a bit of work doing but I am on the last stretch. The dining room needs the edging fitting to the wooden flooring and another repaint (kids eh!) also I need to buy a new dining room table/chairs and some storage, but with Ikea prices this shouldn't work out too expensive. Then it will be into the last room of the house to be done. My front room. This has a repaint before christmas, but needs new flooring and furniture particularly a new sofa, which will be the biggest cost. However, I bought new curtains/accessories this year, so really, just the flooring and sofa, but still a huge cost nonetheless.

I am very disappointed about the Disney trip, but I am never one to dwell on the downside so onwards and upwards, maybe I will be able to afford to make a start on the front room this year afterall:):T

Hope all is ok with you? I know what it is like when you have loads to do on a house, it can be a bit daunting! My house will have taken 7 years so far next month to get to this stage!!!!!!!!

Hi JD! Just dropping by! What a shame about Disney, the kids must be upset, poor things! I hate it when you are let down because of other people, but I agree that £400 for another 3 nights is just ridiculous! Still, I'm sure you'll have the opportunity again at some point when it's meant to be!

Hope you've had a lovely weekend

At least she told you before you paid a deposit, you may not have got back...silver lining and all that. She could have lied right up to the last minute, which would have been worse? What about going to Ireland or something with your airmiles.... chev

Hi Elsie and thanks for visiting:D I am very much a meant to be kind of person so thats how I see it and if in the future the opportunity arises then we shall go!

I spent a lot of time yesterday playing around with the budget and working out how much I need to allocate to various categories per week for the remainder of the year to make sure I have enough to cover all the things I need to pay out for. This was quite an eye opener. I realised that I need to put a significant amount more away each week to be able to cover christmas this year without having to borrow off my overdraft or put on a card, so I have reworked a lot of things and created a lot of new 'pots'. I will need to spend some time creating a new spreadsheet for this to work.

Other news: Yesterday was NSD number 5 :T Only 11 to go to reach target. The weather has been appalling here and haven't been able to get anything dry on the line so back to having airers all over my dining room again! Hoping the weather improves by the end of the week! I am only going to be washing the lighter stuff and leave the heavier bits until I can put them on the line! Obviously summer has been deleted this year!

Not much else to report so I am going to have a browse before I go up for my shower, have a good day all x

Chev - definitely a silver lining, I just hate it when people can't be honest! Yes I am looking into spending the airmiles on flights, still pondering where to go as there are so many places I would love to visit:)

    Morning all!

    Yesterday's spends were:

    70p parking:T

This morning I have paid a grand total of £290.81 to debt! This takes my total for 100 day challenge to £530.28:D

That is pretty much it now though for the rest of June.

I got a free Fathers Day card last night through a link on the grabbit board:):T Will still need to get another two this week and a couple of gifts.

I also picked up the currency for our holiday in three weeks time. Glad to have got that finished with!

No NSD for me today as I need to go and post the last two eBay parcels. I have transferred the last payment over from Paypal so that should arrive in my account in the next few days.

Payday tomorrow! I like being 'paid' weekly as it seems to come round so quickly!

I am going to have a day at home today (apart from the quick trip to the post office) as I have loads of housework to be getting on with. I have almost caught up with the washing after a nice sunny day yesterday. I could do with another one of those today please:D

My new pot system is ready to go tomorrow and the new budget sorted after Tax Credits changing my weekly amount. It is looking quite promising though.

Will be keeping my eye out for any bargains going today online. A few £'s left in my purse so will pop that into the sealed pot at the end of the day.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Morning:)

    Payday today :T

I am all ready to go, will be nipping to the bank this morning to draw out my weekly money and distribute it into each of the pots. I still have money left in my purse from last weeks money so will be putting this into my sealed pot. Will count it up later and adjust signature. Won't be a NSD again today as I will have to pay for parking in town and I will be picking up a few bits I need, will aim for one tomorrow though! I don't think I will be able to hit 16 this month, as I have only done 5 so far:eek:

£6.61 has hit my account this morning from Paypal for the eBay sales, I have just transferred this over to Extra Earnings pot.

If I get time today, I will pop to Sainsburys as they have some good offers on at the moment.

Not much else to report today, have a lovely Wednesday everyone!

I did a post yesterday but managed to delete it and couldn't be bothered to re write it!

NSD number 6 for me yesterday:)

Looking forward to the Moonlight Walk tonight, kids are all off to stay elsewhere tonight so I don't have to get up to them tomorrow morning and I can have a bit of a lie in.

Waiting for some deliveries to arrive today, which can be packed away straight into my present box!

I need to update my Grocery Challenge total for this month in my signature, will tot up my spends later and update.

My cheque for £3.05 has cleared so has been sent to EE pot. Another £3.63 is on it's way to me from Quidco, once it has hit my account, I will transfer that over to EE pot too!

All looking quite healthy in 'moneyland' at the moment.

It won't be a NSD today as I have to pop into town for a few bits again.

Hoping to up my NSD's next week and keep my purse closed!

    Have a lovely friday everyone!
