Afternoon from a very wet Bognor Regis!

Have had a very lazy few days and feel much better for it:)

Banking all done this morning and looking good for the rest of August. Playing around with some new spreadsheets which is fun and trying to streamline all my accounts and work out where the next six months money will be spent.

Can't get any washing dry outside today but will stick some lighter things on the airer and hopefully they will dry overnight.

Off to Asda tomorrow, so will be spending quite a bit there, need to stock up on cat food and other basics!

    Have a good day all!

    Morning all,

Havent been on for a while, summer holidays are very busy and i don't get much look in on the computer!

Off camping tomorrow for 2 nights. Not sure what weather will be doing but rain never bothers me, i have plenty for the kids to do and it will be great to get away from all the electrical equipment! Going shopping this morning for food for the trip, don't really have to buy much as I have a lot in stock anyway so mainly fresh stuff for the cool box.

Money is doing ok, although it is always more costly when the kids are off school! I have enjoyed the holidays so far, but I do like it when september rolls around, the kids go back to school and I get my normal routines back.

I have already decided to take them camping for longer next school holidays, maybe two lots of one week to break it up as it is such a long school holiday. I have already booked to go away Halloween weekend to the new forest for two nights, will need to buy a heater for that.

I am taking my remoska camping for the first time so I shall see how I get on!

Plans are now in place for September's money, I know what I am doing with it so hopefully everything should fall into place nicely if I keep my eye on the ball.

Hope everyone is having good holidays so far?

    Hi brummiebabe

Routines are now back in place and I am slowly getting back on track. Have had some lovely camping trips recently and probably spent far more money than I should have, so time to sit down with budget and pull in the reins again!

DD and I are off to Paris in just over two weeks, have most of the spending money sorted and then our trip to new forest for Halloween. I will be being very frugal during November and December!

Went over the budget with a fine tooth comb yesterday. I know I have over spent of late which is what always happens when I take my eye off the ball! I should really know better by now. Never mind, minimal damage done.

Sold a couple of things on eBay this week, which have paid for my and the kids new thermals for our Halloween camping trip. I know I still have some money in Quidco which I shall leave there for Xmas.

Expensive month for birthdays, however after a massive spend up courtesy of ukhotdeals, I have already bought majority of presents for this month, just need to add a couple of small bits to the pile and I will have them all sorted.

With regards to camping, we now have our perfect set up minus one item. I will be searching the sales and all other sites, Quidco etc to see if I can get a good bargain before I spend out!

Very windy outside today, and raining I think. Will be doing the school run and then spending the day at home in the warm and dry!

Minimal damage is good! It sounds as though you actually have a pretty good balance going on at the moment.

Fingers crossed for you finding that last bit of camping equipment at bargainous cost!

Back from Disney so I thought I would do an update. Managed to keep our spending within budget and even came back with a few euros. Had a wonderful time!

I have decided to leave the one last camping item until the spring and concentrate on Xmas for now. Have novembers budget all in hand and hopefully I will have managed to finish the majority of the Xmas presents by the end if the month.

All birthdays for the remainder of the year are now over, except ds2 whose is on 29th December. I have one small present to get for that and then I am finished for birthdays for 2011:)

I need to start making a list of food to get as we are having Xmas at home for the first time in three years. I am doing ok on the organisation front but will need to step up a gear if I am to prevent running around like a loony the week before the kids break up!

    Morning,

Started wrapping some Xmas presents yesterday, though I would make a start! DD's presents and my nieces all done. Might make a start on my nephews today.

Made a lasagne yesterday for dinner and there is enough leftover for lunch today:) need to sit down and make a food shopping list today for the week ahead as I am determined to keep within budget this week.

Counted up money in purse last night and I have nearly £15 leftover this week, today is going to be a nsd so have put it in an envelope and will set it aside towards Xmas food.

Have a couple of presents on my list to buy this week, I think my mum's and DS1. I shall be keeping my eye out for any boots offers to put in the gift bags I do for all the women I have to buy for (except my mum).

Thankfully I have a quietish week this week, so am hoping to get lots done at home.
