Just saw your post about the ice creams...Morrisons do some fab deals - 2 boxes for £2. The boxes are their own versions of cornettos (6 in a box!), magnums, strawberry splits, screwballs etc. They're lovely too!!!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Morning all:)
Just checked bank accounts and I seem to have had an extra payment from Tax credits this morning. I will ring them up this morning to double check that the amount I got today will be my normal amount from now on, then if it is, I will have to redo my entire budget again for June and July. I did renew my TC last week and also changed the bank account it goes into so I expect it is not a mistake and I will get the new reduced amount every wednesday instead from next week, but I am going to ring and check anyway.
I have left the money where it is for now, but if all is ok, after I have rung them, I will probably transfer it into my VSP for the moment, until I can decide what it should be allocated to.
Just put another wash on, so another £1 in the washing machine fund for me!:T Think it will take quite a while to save up for this new washing machine tho!
Still waiting for payment on 2 eBay items, so as soon as they have cleared I can transfer the last payment into my bank and then on to the extra earnings pot, which is looking nice and healthy at the moment:T:j
Thought today would be a NSD but I forgot about the dentist for DS1 and I will have to pay for parking at the hospital, plus also Beavers subs tonight. Never mind, I know tomorrow won't be a NSD as I will be going into town tomorrow for a few bits and to the bank. Will be aiming for one on Saturday. I will be planning my Spend Days more carefully for next week, so that I can shift the spending onto just one or two days so that I can increase the NSD's, otherwise I will not reach the 16 I have planned for this month.:o
Doing quite well on the One debt 100 days challenge. I am hoping to make a payment of £100 ish next week which will push me over halfway to reaching my target of £600 by 3rd August:T
Will be going to get my currency next week for our holiday. I will be glad to finally cross this one off my list. I am also planning on buying the last two suitcases next week, if my budget will stretch. Then it will just be new clothes for me to get before the holiday. I may plan a little shopping trip before the end of the month.
Have a lovely day everyone!November NSD's - 70 -
Morning all:)
£29.84 arrived in the bank from Paypal this morning for some of my eBay sales (still waiting for 2 people to pay) so I have sent that straight to the Extra Earnings pot, which now stands at £243.19:T
£1 to washing machine fund last night for another wash, so £4 in that pot now, I expect I will be adding a few more £'s to this over the weekend.
Spent £16.55 on Groceries yesterday as I popped into Sainsbury's on my way back from the dentist. Total Grocery spend now up to £100.55, leaving £249.45 for the remainder of the month. 21 days left at £11.87 per day.
Going into town for a few other things today, so will need to pay for parking, I have a cheque to pay in, which will go straight into EE pot as soon as it has cleared. Also need to go to Iceland this morning so I expect I will be spending a few £'s, but not a huge amount as I don't have a lot of space in my freezer. I will be picking up some more milk as it is fairly cheap, and some pizza's plus something nice for pudding as we have my friend and her kids over for tea tonight:)
DD is on a school trip today so I am making her up a lunchbox to take as she normally has school dinners.
Paid Beavers fees last night so that is done for another month.
£28 left in purse this morning, this needs to last me until Tuesday:eek: I am sure I can do it as I havent got much else to pay out for.
£1.31 into sealed pot, small change from my purse taking total up to £61.80:T:j
5 days to go until 'payday' not a lot of money left so I anticipate a good few NSD's coming up in my future:)
A slower week next week with much less on, so lots of days at home.
Doing the Moonlight walk for charity next Friday night so all kids are going to stay with DexH overnight. He should have lots of fun:rotfl: Really looking forward to at as a group of us are going.
I have had an email for free delivery from Asda, which is far too far away from me to be able to weekly shop there. I may take advantage of this for offers for my 2nd purse. I will have a little look and see what offers they have on later. They often do cracking deals which I am usually unable to take advantage of so this would be a nice change:D
Off to update signature now and have a browse.November NSD's - 70 -
A quick update.
£25 now left in purse and £1.03 to sealed pot.
Bought a few bargains in Iceland and have paid out of my 2nd purse. Will update with total grocery spends at the end of the day. Need to pay for the kids sweets this afternoon as it is sweetie day:)
Paid cheque into bank, this will clear by next week then I will transfer it over to the extra earnings pot.
Looking forward to having my friend and her kids round for tea tonight, be nice to catch up.
Asda delivery booked and is coming tomorrow, free delivery and all money off bargain in the basket. result!November NSD's - 70 -
I had a lovely evening catching up with my friend while the kids played. We don't get to spend much time together anymore so it was nice to have a good chat:)
Walked into one of my exercise weights and have bruised my toe, it is really painful and difficult to walk, took some pain killers before bed last night to help with the pain as it was throbbing:mad: My toe has gone a lovely shade of purple:eek: A great excuse to sit in bed and watch the season finale of The Mentalist last night though!:D
After paying out for the kids sweets yesterday, I have exactly £23 left in purse to last 4 days. One of my eBay sales has now paid (finally) so I will be posting that on monday, hopefully the last one will have paid by then too! Will wait until that happens before I withdraw the final amount from Paypal.
£7.61 spent from Grocery Budget yesterday. Total now £108.16/£350 so £241.84 left or 20 days at £12.09. Still doing very well:cool:
My Asda delivery is coming this afternoon. All money off or BOGOF items and free delivery, has been paid for out of 2nd purse and will not count as part of my grocery budget until I have 'bought' it from myself as I need it.
The 2nd purse system, although a little confusing until it clicks, is working well for me. The £7.61 spent yesterday was all from 'stock' in my shed and the money went straight back into the 2nd purse. I have 'borrowed' some money from one of my pots to give me a head start as I am well aware that the summer holidays are looming and it is very hard for me to get out and about to shop properly for six weeks. I usually end up doing most of my shopping at the local co op, which costs me a small fortune, or paying for an online delivery if I can find a free delivery code:eek:
The 2nd purse system should in effect save me a huge amount over the summer holidays. Although I will still have to buy fresh stuff, I am hoping to have a massive stock of staples to keep me going for six weeks, knowing that I have paid rock bottom prices for it all:j I will be continuing to add the £10 per week into the 2nd purse from my weekly budget and at some point, I will be able to pay back my pot the money I have borrowed:D
I am now working on my shopping list and menu plan for next week 15th - 21st June. I will be trying to buy the minimum fresh stuff now as it is only just under a month before we go to Menorca and I don't want to be leaving stuff unused or have to throw away:eek: before we leave.
I will be doing a fresh stuff use up week from the 29th June and buying the absolute minimum on the 6th July as we leave on the 9th.
The week of the 6th I will be withdrawing my entire weekly money after paying to my pots and taking that with me in sterling. I am really looking forward to getting away!:T
Off to update signature to show new Grocery total, have a great weekend all xNovember NSD's - 70
