sorry its a bit ott but as virgin piggyback off orange is the signal anyway worse or does anyone find it works aswell as if u were just with orange directWhat goes around-comes around0

Virgin use the EE network (T-Mobile and Orange), as far as I know the signal is identical to being with either network directly. There's no reason why the signal would be worse. Get a Virgin sim and try for yourself if you want to be completely sure.0

It originally piggy backs on T-Mob,and its still treated as a T-Mob virtual network at the present time,eg they allocate numbers etc. It makes no difference you get same signal. The ability to use Orange as well was added later last year, which naturally improved things for some people.

I'll be moving away from 3 and probably signing up for the Virgin Media £12/Month Sim Only Deal. I'm currently on the One Plan @ £25/Month, as much as I wanted to get the iPhone 5, I simply can't afford it at the moment at £39/Month (£89) on 3 with the 32Gb model and One Plan. So, I'm gonna stick with my iPhone 4 and go for the Virgin deal (1200 Mins, Unlimited texts, 1GB Data) because I want to bring my costs down as much as possible for the time being and hopefully save up for the iPhone 5S or whatever the next model will be!0

I always have a check on this thread so thought I'd just add the deal I got as it might help someone. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, 1gb internet, 200 mins, 3000 texts + 3000 Virgin to Virgin texts £10.43 per month for 24 months. I did pay for the handset though, £45, as I wanted to bring the monthly cost down. I didnt realise Virgin did a pay for the handset option & it can bring your monthly bill down nicely especially if you just sell your old phone. I was also offered the S2 with 100 mins cant remember the internet but you paid £55 for the phone & it worked out to £16.99 per month for 24 months0

I'm now out of contract (I have BB with 600min UL text, 1gb internet for £15pm for 18 months) so have moved to rolling sim only for £10 a month today -250 min, UL texts, 1gb internet).
They offered me nothing to stay with them so I'm going to switch to Tesco who have better deals.
My OH did get a great renewal deal with Virgin a couple of months ago.
Nokia Lumia 800, 600 mins/UL texts/IGB for £8.50 per month but they won't give me the same deal and told me that my husband has had the "family discount".
A few months ago I wanted a second contract for my DD as her other contract was up and Virgin didn't want to know. They wanted £28 for an identical deal I got from Talkmobile for £15.
My 12 months contract is also up for my home media so maybe time to move that too.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
