Virgin Mobile Retentions deals

Looks a fairly good deal that. What phone do you currently have and what contract are you currently on? Do you go over your allowance?
I'm intrigued as you seem to have been offered a phone of similar value to the one I'm after/have been offered but the comparison between your £20 a month offer and my £18 a month offer is quite a lot....plus I have to pay a small sum for the phone too...
Hi there
I was on 600 mins, Unlimited texts and 1GB Data for £15 Sim Only - I called yesterday to ask for a PAC code to get Virgin to offer me more than had been offered via upgrades. The offer I was given was without me pushing for it - They offered it straight away.
The phone arrived today, to say I don't like it is an understatement. I've just come off the phone with them to organise the return and to revert back to Sim Only - They've offered my old tariff for £10.43, I did try my luck to see whether they could lower it further but due to not being a Virgin Media customer anymore they couldn't go lower. I'm happy enough at £10.43.If it wasn't for the mistakes I made in the past (and learned from), I wouldn't be who and where I am today. It doesn't matter if you've cocked up, what matters is that you put it right and apologise. x0 -
Update - I've just logged into my online billing and the tariff is listed as "PM_VM 7.32 600+3000 XL Media Offer CA". Any Ideas? If it wasn't for the mistakes I made in the past (and learned from), I wouldn't be who and where I am today. It doesn't matter if you've cocked up, what matters is that you put it right and apologise. x0

A further update -
I checked my inclusive allowances on the 789 automated system and noticed the data wasn't on, I've just called retentions again, a nice lady called Natalie and she has changed my tariff to £15.34 for the 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 1GB data and 3000 Virgin to Virgin minutes with a rolling credit of £8 per month- every month - forever! (So they say, time will tell). If it wasn't for the mistakes I made in the past (and learned from), I wouldn't be who and where I am today. It doesn't matter if you've cocked up, what matters is that you put it right and apologise. x0 -
I was called, out of the blue, last week and offered a desire on 24months with 600 mins, unlt texts, 1gb internet and free virgin to virgin calls for £17.53 a month. They gave me £8.00 a month off as I am a VM customer and wiped out the last three months of my existing 18 month contract with them. This is much better than the £25 I was paying before plus I love the new phone and I have 100 minutes more . Feel I did ok out of it as I got 2 months free at the front end of the contract as well so, in effect I only paid for 13 months. Very happy with this deal as I think I can sell my old phone on to a recycler for £120.0

I just got offered 600 minutes, 3000 texts and 1GB internet for £10.43 when I asked for a PAC (was going to move to giff gaff). 30 day contract.
On my account it's showing as:
Virgin 20 600+3000 BA
I'm not sure what that means but it lists the calls/texts but doesn't mention the internet accesss?0 -
Mine is showing the same, Virgin 20 600+3000 BA and it's supposed to come with 1GB data every month - they added an initial 1GB data whilst they switched this over but not sure if it will go on automatically every month as it's not showing for next month under allowances?? Can anyone advise?0

hi heyman
mine showed the same they did'nt add the data 3 very stressfull calls to india to get it sorted.data now shows on my account page:mad::mad::mad:0 -
Just a quick update, they added the 1GB yesterday without me doing anything, but looks like the payments situation is all screwed up as they've now removed the payment/credit transactions on my normal monthly amount (which were correct) and instead credited me with £13 three times (incorrect). I daren't phone up their Indian call centre for fear of them somehow managing to cause my phone to explode in my face.
I actually asked about the recent problems with payments before I signed up to this, and the guy told me that yes they'd had problems but it was all sorted out now.
I'm going to wait and see if they sort it out over the next few days - If I get any issues I'll be cancelling and writing to them about their Sales staff telling outright lies in order to hit their targets.0 -
ive just had a virgin mobile retention deal but have not received anything in writing. i told them i was leaving to go to tesco mobile on a £10month contract(24months), 250mins, 500gb of data and plenty of texts(not really bothered about texts) and a new phone. virgin offered me a better deal to stay, £10.53 per month(18month contract), new samsung galaxy ace, 1gb of data and unlimited texts. i accepted deal and new phone arrived yesterday. the only paperwork i have came with the phone stating tariff was £25.53 month and no mention of the data allowance or contract length. they did tell me on the phone that account would be credited £15 per month to bring it down to the £10.53. However, ive got nothing in writing and im concerned that they could renege on this deal or it will be just for a few months. has anyone else had a similar experience and got anything off them in writing.0
