It seems everyone and his dog is offering this phone for £21.00 a month at the moment. I thought that as I was due for contract renewal and I was a valued customer that they might come up with something a bit better.

I am off the same mind, VM are not offering me anything that i can't get elsewere. PAC code requested 3 days ago.

TBH I've never thought VM do great deals on contracts. But if your getting a sim only from them, they can get some great deals. I'm currently getting 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited v2v, 2GB web for around £7/month.

Think when I signed up for this one they said it was £9/month which was also a good deal, but I'm still getting a discount on a friends and family scheme from a member of V media staff which knocks it down again.

I'm now in the position I don't want to lose this deal so might just buy my next handset and keep it :D

    Hi all,

Contract is up with Virgin towards the end of this month, so just made the "rentention" call. Mentioned I would likely be leaving due to lack of IPhone etc. To my surprise they asked what prices for Iphones I had seen etc, seems silly as they don't sell them.

After a while (was placed on hold) they came back and without ever getting to specifics said they could not even offer a Samsung S2 for under £25.

When I mentioned this thread (and others) the guy basically said you couldn't believe what is posted as likely to be untrue!!!

Didnt want to get into an argument as to the honesty of MSE users, so said we'd shake hands & I'll walk away at the end of the month. He promised to email the PAC code to me, but I suspect I'll get a phone call in the next week or so.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?? If so what deal if any did you end up with?? Ideally I'm after a S3 or S2.

Just to update, I got a text message with the PAC code a couple of days later.

The PAC code runs out 09 September, but the contract ends a week later?? I'm not paying them a week for nothing, so I'm looking to call for another PAC code nearer the contract shutdown.

I am suprised not to have received a call from anyone from retentions as yet wanting to keep my business, especially as also a Virgin Media customer?!?!?!?
