Don't rush into selling it or trading it in for a loss.
If the car spent over a week off the road because of a starter motor then that doesn't mean that the car has serious issues, just that the garage took a long time doing a fairly simple task.
There's no inherent design flaw with the 207 that makes it dangerous to drive. If you lost control on ice several times then that could either be a driver error. However, you said that following vehicles were alright, so I'd suggest that you look at tyres, tyre presures and also have the wheel alignment checked.Happy chappy0 -

Driver error is what the smart money is on.;)
Okay, okay, we get your point. You can shut up and crawl back in your hole now!
The OP wants better suggestions than just finger pointing! How on earth do any of us know that the car is fine and she is at fault? We don't, so making sensible suggestions is more helpful that trying to embarrass them for your own satisfaction. sad.9/70lbs to lose0 -

Thanks, there was a def issue with tyre pressure but not sure if this could have been affected from hitting the kerb whilst spinning or if this was the cause of the spinning?May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080 -

Has there been any damage to the wheel alignment by hitting the kerb?
If it is only a starter motor, I don't think there is anything majorly wrong with the car. You can try arguing with the dealer but I think the probability of getting your car back is low. Check with CAB as well.
Sounds to me to be the quality of the contact between the tyres and the icy road.
Obviously, losing confidence is hard to shake.0
