This forum was mentioned when a guy asked for help on pensions, he said he couldn't believe hom many pompous (insert swear word!) there seem to be and now I'm a member on here I can see exactly what he was saying!

But don't you see, its people who care about others we want on here not the idiots that seem to think they're bigger cleverer and funnier.

    They're not.

People like Graham and others who have helped are what most people want otherwise why bother posting. Saying he can leave is true but its not people like him we want to leave.

Do you really think Martin set this site up for people to be belittled and mocked etc.

Don't get me wrong, its mainly a good forum, with plently of helpful people. I enjoy reading through the boards, it just a shame a few idiots come on here with the sole aim of winding other users up. Most civil, normal people will see them for exactly what they are though! :D

I think you missed the point of my post;).

The motoring board is one of the 'grumpiest' on MSE:D.

You do have to make an effort to sort the wheat from the chaff:).

Nevertheless, there are many people who take exception to advice given because it isn't what they want to hear.

As for the OP. I don't believe the Pug 207, as a model, is inherently unsafe. Given that, the explanation for the OP repeatedly losing control has to be some combination of mechanical fault (tyre pressures?), poor driving in the conditions and the conditions themselves.

Oh look, Cyril and Graham29 appear from nowhere to have a moan about the motoring board, very strange coincidence.

Tip for both, use the " Ignore " facility, sorted. ;)

"Appear from nowhere? Sorry do I need to let you know persoanlly when I intend on posting? I happened to log on in my lunchbreak and having previously commented on this thread (so not really from nowhere as you suggest).

Good idea about the ignore facility, I didn't know it existed, other forums that I use don't have this facility as they don't attract idiots like this one appears to. ;)

I have driven for 14years never lost control of a car or had an accident thank you.

I took it straight to the garage they blamed the ice which is very bad here at the moment but also said rear tyre pressure was very low.

Regardless of a cooling off period etc I would be speaking to trading standards and expecting a full refund as it does NOT sound at all fit for purpose!
