Thanks confidence in the car is definitely at an all time low :( I spun out of control today and hit the kerb. I then took the car to the garage who said the wheel pressure was very low in the wheel I hit. I wasn't sure if pressure being low was due to the hit or the original cause of the spin?

It's quite easy to flex the tyre (bead) off the rim, and lose a lot of air, if the impact is hard enough. Blow it up and keep an eye on it.
11 month old and they're still be the oe tyres, so they will as good as all the other 207's out there.

When you slide, is it the front or back wheels that go, ie do you go straight on at a corner, or does the back end slide off?

Good point, although I do live in the coldest area in England renowned for its bad weather :o

To be honest I am not 100% sure I think it was the back end one time front the other but I was so surprised looking back at it properly now I am not sure

    Is it manual or automatic?

  • Take your car to a tyre place,( NOT Kwackfit, preferably a good independant) get them to give you a tyre check, they tend to be better at this than garages and main dealers as that is their stock in trade so to speak.
Maybe worthwhile getting your tracking checked as well.

Once you have eliminated the tyres, then try the RAC/AA if you are still worried or take it to an MoT garage for them to check out?
If they find anything then go back to the dealer.

It shouldn't be a surprising car really. Manual won't be changing gear on you in the wrong place, a decent brand of tyres, no reported suspension or handling problems.
Occasionally the odd tracking problem, but that's it.
11 month old let the dealer look at it, as it's still in warranty, use an independant after Peugeot have had a chance, if they don't get anywhere.
(What does the tyre tread look like)

I'd get it check after the meeting with the kerb.

Did you purchase it on finance. If so write to the finance company and ask them to investigate the concerns with the vehicle, I don't know if you'll be able to change it but they may help getting the repairs done. In regards to changing it, without taking a loss in value I don't know what to suggest :(
