Has there been any damage to the wheel alignment by hitting the kerb?
If it is only a starter motor, I don't think there is anything majorly wrong with the car. You can try arguing with the dealer but I think the probability of getting your car back is low. Check with CAB as well.
Sounds to me to be the quality of the contact between the tyres and the icy road.
Obviously, losing confidence is hard to shake.
Thanks confidence in the car is definitely at an all time lowI spun out of control today and hit the kerb. I then took the car to the garage who said the wheel pressure was very low in the wheel I hit. I wasn't sure if pressure being low was due to the hit or the original cause of the spin?

Well you're hardly a shining example of the male population are you? lol.
I will be ignoring you from now on because you are obviously an attention seeker.
Anyhow, back to the issue with the car.
If you check out all of his other threads they are all about winding people up and being a :eek::eek: my little boy just said Mum he is a bully you should ignore him as he only wants to wind people up and get attention. My 10 year old has maturity which out weighs his! And YES I am a girl that is why I am called BatGIRL!!!!May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080 -

I think it's hard to get low pressure tyres by just hitting the kerb immediately. Seems to me to be there is an issue with the tyres themselves.
Might be because there is uneven wear with the tyre? Not really sure though.
Might be good to do a checkup with garage or AA as hard for us to inspect the likely causes.0 -

I hope you will read the terms and conditions of your insurance policy and report this incident it required to do so. They may consider you have had an at fault collision.0 -

Batgirl, I can't help thinking that most of the posters answering you are male, and aren't giving you very helpful advice. My b/f bought a car in the summer and we are till in the process of trying to get refund (A very long story which won't help your problem).
So let's try to be helpful:
You say that you bought it from a garage. I think generally they give you 3mths warranty (ours did). Did you take it back to this garage for repairs? they should be responsible for anything dangerous.
You could take it to an independent garage for a check and present the findings to the seller. This is what my b/f did and from those findings together with a written report, we are now trying to get our money back.
I contacted Consumer direct and CAB who have been very helpful.0 -

To be honest I have no idea how much they would cost? I will investigate. At the moment money is at an all time low ( we have no debt but being January savings are pretty non existent too we spent what we had on the car lol)May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080 -

Thank you HELPFUL advice :j:j:j:j it is still under complete warranty as only 11 months old. An independent garage sounds like a plan but again cost money (but less than the loss of trading in) what a nightmare - as I can see you understand.May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080
