Guys. I hope that you get a acceptable solution, as those running costs are far outside the limits of what they should be in a well insulated property. Please update us if you get anywhere.

Ra your bills are staggering, we are so unhappy with ours i hate to think the pressure yours are putting on you.

Thanks Geotherm, our house is brand new with excellent insulation and yet the kW's being used is very disturbing. My only wish is like i said in a previous thread if Nibe are reading this then why don't they login and talk to us about it, it is their equipment surely they must have some information on the 360p or is it really that bad they can't say anything to help?

Even with temps here at 4.5C at 9.00 am thismorning and the house 250 yrs old with low insulation, the gshp only worked for 10 hrs from yesterday, so 21Kw and our prices are probably twice as high here as with yourselves. I do hope that all the companies there do take note and resolve your problems very quickly.

I truly hope so mate, it is depressing my wife so much she is going down for major surgery in February and the way she feels there is no way she could cope with this hanging over heads.

I really hope not just for our sakes but for everybody in the country who has one of these units to be sorted out quickly and for the companies involved to take it really seriously and help those people suffering.

None of this is really Nibe's fault. It was whoever speced the system and think the general lack of understanding across the industry. I'm sure the same problem would occur with a LG, Mitsubishi or any other company's heat pump that was not sized correctly for the property.

    You are correct :)

Guys, this is a quick heads up to all those people who are writing about their Nibe issues, i have been told today that Nibe are preparing to Sui me for the stuff i have wrote on here, not sure we live in a free spoken country anymore.

If you are Nibe and reading this, i look forward to you taking me to court as you have installed a system into a low cost house that can not run at low costs, i have 3 kids, can not work due to a crumbling spine, we moved from a 4 bed detached house that was no were near as expensive, i,m pretty sure a court of law would not be impressed with the suffering you are causing to thousands of people.

Nibe - PLEASE EXPLAIN to me how we have a certificate from the Energy Saving Trust with our address on it saying we should only be paying £497 a year £40 approx per month, give or take £10 per month due to other items being switched on and then we receive a bill for just 4 weeks £178 and now we are expecting another bill for over £200 just for December.

You have something to say at least have the decency to contact me, i have the decency because i have published it on here for anybody to read and that includes yourselves.

So Nibe had the chance to resolve your situation and instead chooses threat of legal action. We dont know the relationship between Nibe and the installer. If the installer has been on a Nibe training course, or is accredited by Nibe, then you would expect Nibe to acknowledge that it has some resonsibility that its systems are specified and installed correctly.

Even if Nibe are not in any way responsible, they have lost an opportunity to take the moral high ground. So this thread would legitimately make one wonder:
    • Is the Nibe 360p product fit for purpose?
    • Are installers trained to specify Nibe system correctly?
    • Are Nibe responsible for performance of its distribution/installation chain.
    • Are the performance claims capable of being upheld in law?
It may well be possible for Nibe to legally avoid responsiblity, that was not my earlier point. It was that this gave an opportunity for Nibe to show it was an excellent company. As it is the message that seems to be emerging is caveat emptor/let the buyer beware.
