Have been going through the manual and what a complicated system. A few questions:
Are there any alarms showing on menu 9.3.0
What is the setting on menu 9.1.12 ( hot water heating time )
Is there pressure in the underfloor heating of between 0.5 - 1.5 bar.
It is concerning that the DHW is only getting to 30C. Is there an air venting valve on the tank, as the outer tank may not be heating the DHW tank enough. Check the safety valve Page 9 in the manual (47)
Also check that the air duct are open all the way in rooms that have a duct in them to allow maximum air flow back to it.
I still standby my earlier comment of how silly the system design is...
"You are sucking warm air out of the rooms and recovering it, you then have to pull cold air in from the outside to replace the air that has been extracted only to be heated again by the same heat that you have just extracted? Yes you have fresh air but what a silly idea!
Heat recovery systems on commercial buildings are just that they bring fresh air into the building which is heated by the recovered air from the extract. They are not meant to provide the whole buildings heating requirements! "If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -
Guys just wanted to let you know after some dialog with our local MP he is going to parliament on Thursday to raise our issue then he is coming to our house @4pm to discuss what he can do.
We have spoken to British Gas and Southern Electric this morning and both companies think we own a shop or a small factory due to the amount of kW we are using, by the end of this year we would have used 19000 kW.
For a monthly Direct debit with British Gas it will cost us £211 and with Southern Electric it will cost £282 can somebody please explain to me how the hell we are supposed to afford this. Jesus even when i was working and bringing in 45K per year i would have still struggled to pay this, as far as i am concerned Nibe need to be dragged through as much Cow and Horse dungs along with the building contractors as possible and i am totally sick of this and can't wait for our MP to destroy somebody for it, what comes around, goes around.0 -
Evening all,
Over on one of air conditioning & refrigeration forums I posted this for you:
http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29798
All of the members on there are in the air conditiong & refrigeration trade either engineers or designing of systems. They have a wealth of knowledge. One particular member: "bigfreeze" has commented as he had a 70sqm apartment that had one of these god awful systems in.
This is what he has posted in response:Nibe generally make ok stuff but this particular system is a disaster. Lived in a 70sqm apartment for six months with one of these in it and regularly had bills of over €450 even though the apartment was A3 rated. My neighbour was over €700.
These things suck out so much air that they actually remove more heat than they produce, so the only way to heat the house is with the immersion.
Absolute disaster in every case i've come across them. The Nibe "experts" came out to mine when I lived in the apartment. Fully unaware of course that they weren't dealing with some poor innocent they could fob off with a BS explanation. God they came out when some amount of crap before I stopped them in their tracks. Telling me the trickle vents in all windows would have to be open for system to work.
I asked them to tell me how many cubic meters the unit removed per hour, (quick calculation on the phone), then asked them how a unit removing 3.8kw an hour was supposed to heat a room when it was only producing 2.6. Cue silence and oh we'll come back tomorrow with more equipment to check it out. Never heard from them again. What I find difficult to understand is, now that this thread is a public relations disaster for Nibe, they haven't wheeled out the big guns, even though they may not have specified the system.
The best companies are judged by how well they respond to problems, in this case I'd have expected a Nibe troubleshooter to have attended and sorted out the problem. It may have meant replacing the unit with a better specified model but that has to be cheaper than this continued drain of bad publicity, and it would give Nibe the chance to be seen as the good guys.0 -
Guys, this is a quick heads up to all those people who are writing about their Nibe issues, i have been told today that Nibe are preparing to Sui me for the stuff i have wrote on here, not sure we live in a free spoken country anymore.
If you are Nibe and reading this, i look forward to you taking me to court as you have installed a system into a low cost house that can not run at low costs, i have 3 kids, can not work due to a crumbling spine, we moved from a 4 bed detached house that was no were near as expensive, i,m pretty sure a court of law would not be impressed with the suffering you are causing to thousands of people.
Nibe - PLEASE EXPLAIN to me how we have a certificate from the Energy Saving Trust with our address on it saying we should only be paying £497 a year £40 approx per month, give or take £10 per month due to other items being switched on and then we receive a bill for just 4 weeks £178 and now we are expecting another bill for over £200 just for December.
You have something to say at least have the decency to contact me, i have the decency because i have published it on here for anybody to read and that includes yourselves.0 -

Let them get on with it!If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -

I thought i could write anything i wanted like you say it's called a review, if they have an issue with what we are writing then we'll so find out about it.
Maybe one of their senior members of staff should sign up to this forum and help with our stress and worry levels but instead they say nothing and allow people to suffer.
As is it stands i have no idea who this issue belongs too, is it the building contractors, is it Nibe - can't see it being these because they just sell the product but saying that on their website they shouldn't publish they can reduce your energy bills by 80% when clearly with our street they can't, or is it Orbit they clearly told us they were low cost housing, when again they are clearly not.
We have the MP coming tomorrow so we will see what he says and we are also trying to get hold of the Housing Ombudsman to see what legal advice they can give and to also see if they can take the matter up. Will let you guys know more obviously when i do, thanks for the support.0 -

The only way i can see Melin homes fixing my problem is by them getting greenhill to remove the Nibe 360p as it can not cope with the house heating and water needs and install a external air to water pump or install a combi boiler or combi boiler with solar panal,
It does not matter if melin monitor my house for 1 month or 5 years the situation will still be the same the nibe 360p is not faulty it is working fine but it is undersize for this house it just seems to me that greenhill is trying to get out of the situation so they do not have to replace the nibe 360p with a external air to water air pump or gas boiler the sooner that this nibe is replaced the better, If i was Melin homes i would hold off installing any more of these nibe 360p units,
Me and my partner have been having a good look at our electricity usage for last week this afternoon and we are not happy with it at all, We are going to give it one more week using the nibe 360p so i can keep a eye on the use of the nibe and then enough is enough the nibe is not faulty at all and as i have said continuous in this thread the unit is not big enough for our house, Then next week the nibe is going to be swiched off,0 -
Guys,
Can I take you back to what I said yesterday and what was posted over on another forum, you need to put the 2nd quote to the builders & the people who are involved in this... how can they explain it is suitable and worthwhile.
