Apologies guys, I had misunderstood this unit type, as we only use exhaust air recovery as a additional aid to normal heat pumps and not as a single system. I can understand why you are so concerned about electricity costs.
By the info from the brochure, these are designed for very well insulated houses that need minimum heating requirements. Looking at the F370 spec, then you are only getting 2Kw output without the immersion having to kick-in.As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
Hmm........you'd have a job on heating a garden shed with 2kW.0

The compressor can keep my house at approx. 19 degrees without too much trouble, but its a less m2 than everyone else. It did struggle to maintain the hot water on just the compressor (it was luke warm at 30 degrees). I can't understand why ra200's is still using the immersion. The trend calc blocks the immersion when its over 5 degrees (unless its really struggling to get upto temperature). I know when mine was set up wrong, everytime I went to the unit and it would always be using the immersion. Now when I go to it, im yet to see the immersion indicator on!Mortgage Started: £131,500 (June 2010)

If you have it, can you send a link to the manual? As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
I have not been able to find the manual on the pump, but if it is managing to keep the house @ 19c, then it appears to be doing as required. With the hot water side, most heat pumps give priority to DHW production.
If you have it, can you send a link to the manual?

This week we have been monitoring our system by the hour with some weird yet surprising results, well i say surprising not sure this surprises me anymore.
We honestly thought with the milder weather things were looking better, i do however still want this system out because i know whats coming next winter.
The Nibe system has been showing a pretty much constant temperature since Tuesday of around 12 degrees.
Tuesday 12 Degrees - 32 kW units in 24hrs
Wednesday 11 Degrees - 52 kW units in 24hrs
Thursday 13 Degrees - 26 kW units in 24hrs
Friday 13 Degrees - 27 kW units in 24hrs
Saturday 12 Degrees - 23 kW units in 24hrs
Sunday 12 degrees - 40 kW units in 24hrs
On all of these days we have done nothing different so why on gods earth does it go high then higher still then to drop down to go nuts again for today readings.
I wouldn't mind but what makes me even more annoyed is, we were told anything over 7 degrees the unit should be producing 3 kW for every 1 kW we use but when it keeps jumping around i truly have no idea what the system is doing or what i should be doing. If i could live without hot water this unit would be off and if i knew it wasn't going to cost me big style i would quite happily rip this system out altogether.
We have come to the conclusion we have no choice but to move out and let somebody else suffer these high bills.0 -
The immersion is cutting in as the compress on its own can not keep the flow temp and water at the correct temp it is not to do with the trend calc that is set to 5c by the nibe engineer if set to auto the immersion is blocked when it is 12c outside and the compressor is blocked when is is 17c outside all these are correct on the nibe, If i did block the immersion now my house would be cold and then if i heated it up again it would take ages as it is underfloor heating and not radiators,
Just to update on cost now at 7.26pm since 12.00am 19hour 26min the nibe has used £3.89p no one has used a bath just washed dishes with the hot water today,denial2010 wrote: »The compressor can keep my house at approx. 19 degrees without too much trouble, but its a less m2 than everyone else. You are in the same boat as me are you shared ownership or rented?
My partner has had enough of me moaning about the nibe and we have come to the point in thinking that this is not going to be solved as we think no one at Melin or Greenhill believes us about the cost.
When it is mild outside or even summer we are look at a cost of around £4.20p a day for the nibe in electric only of it that is almost £30 a week plus other electrical items in the home allow £1.20 a day for that £38.40 a week when it is mild or warm out when it is cold out we could double that,This week we have been monitoring our system by the hour with some weird yet surprising results, well i say surprising not sure this surprises me anymore.

The 40 kW units for us yesterday was without using any additional 3hr water, with it i think it could have been more like 50/55.
To be honest i feel fed up with moaning about but without talking to you about we would have gone nuts by now.
We are rented mate with Orbit housing association so pretty much in the same boat as you and everybody seems to be dragging the heels about all this, i will only take so much then i will get dirty, my concerns are my wife and kids, there okay they only built it they don't have to live here and pay extremely high bills.
My wife is even on about using the local laundry for washing but i know it's not the appliances because we had them in our old house.0
