What a strange turn of events MV, lucky they are being honorable and agreeing to pay you. Do you think there will still be a position for you after the restructure? Yes definately use the time to do all the household stuff so you can just spend quality time with your boys when they are home. How about a home pampering day each week, long bath, do your nails etc etc I know I never get time for that kind of thing.

I'm trying not to second guess when LO will walk. She doesn't do things by the book, took over 3 months attempting to crawl and then when she got it was climbing stairs the next day. She also had cruising furniture mastered prior to crawling. Like yours Wendz, she will stand without holding until she realises she's doing it then wobbles and grabs on.

I found the boys tended to be the early crawlers but its a mixed bag with walking.

  • I know Mit3! I've said to OH that until I actually see some money land in my bank account, I won't believe it! I'm a firm believer in the 'you get nothing for free in this world' camp!
I certainly hope there'll still be a job for me in a few weeks. My friend seems to think it will be ok. It's the UK side of the business that is in trouble, and I'm on the international side, so we'll see.

I guess if it doesn't pan out, then I'll just have to suck it up and look for something else!

How are you getting on? Is DD settling at nursery?

  • Hello Ladies and Babies,

Happy Birthday to Baby M-It-3 and Baby Giz.

Ooh MV getting paid for not working - enjoy!! Though I understand the worries about the job security.

I am thinking going back to work would be good at the moment!!! It seems to be since DS turned 1 he has become very whiny. It is especially bad, at nappy changes when he gets hysterical. Anyone else found this?

DS isn't walking at the mo. He started crawling early at 4 months so I figured he would be on the move by now. He can get everywhere faster by crawling so I guess doesn't feel the need to walk!!

We were having a bad night last night... Baby very clingy and wide awake which is unusual.

I was getting slightly annoyed about how tired I'd be today when she smiled at me :D

BargainPrincess - Poppystarted crawling at 6 months so everyone kept telling me she would be walking early but don't think one necessarily equates to the other. As you say they probably realise crawling is quicker!

I have just arranged Poppy's settling in sessions at nursery. Fiirst one in a couple of weeks when i will stay with her and then two sessions for a couple of hours when i leave her. I am not too worried about her settling in as she is very sociable , it will just be when she needs comforting that will be interesting.

  • Hi all, well stopping the dummy has been put on hold as LO has an ear infection and is teething very badly. i can def see a molar coming through. So for this week we have caved in and let him keep the dummy. Also LO has not eaten a thing since breakfast on friday, so i have kept him home and letting him sleep a lot, while we hopefully get rid of the nasty earache.

Congrats Metranil, that sounds like a great company for being honorable. I hope you find ways of filling your days, i am sure you can spend more time on here :)

Well i got to have my smear to celebrate valentines day, so really feeling romantic ;)

Well have fun ladies and babies

  • Hiya LL

Hope the smear goes ok. Not fun I know, but good to have done nonetheless.

Well the company have contacted me this morning, and want to meet with me tomorrow morning to discuss some projects I can be getting on with from home, so looks like I won't be totally idle! It's good though, will give me something to do and get me back into working mode!

I'm off to attempt a run now..I haven't done any exercise for ages, so reckon it's going to be tough going, but I really have piled on the pounds and could do with losing a bit!
