  • Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely Mummies!!

I feel all the pain about the price of shoes - Little one is not quite walking but know I am going to have to bite the bullet soon. Anyone know when the next Clarks sale is?

Even their sales are pants - mine only very rarely manage to fit in the shoes that are in the sale, so still end up paying £30 a pair, grrr. As they get older they need so many different shoes too - plimsoles, trainers, wellies, sandals, going out shoes, school shoes. DD also has horseriding boots and DS has football boots.
Start thinking about where you are gonna store the shoes now guys lol

Still not preggers :( Onto the 5th cycle...

I'm also quite sad as it seems the breastfeeding has come to an end. I was out Thursday night, so for the first time OH put DD to bed on his own with cows milk. She went down without a fuss! Couldn't believe it. So I BF her as normal in the morning. Then I tried putting her down last night with no BM...again no probs. Then this morning I was up early with terrible AF pains, so OH got DD out of bed, nappy changed her and for the first time ever she wasn't screaming for the BF, so I didn't give her one. She hasn't looked for it at all. :( I know it's good really, but I'm secretly gutted! lol There's just no pleasing me! I'm quite chuffed I did 13.5 months though.

I don't know if this is confirmed but some women apparently have a drop in milk supply just before AF so your daughter could have given up on getting milk but the milk supply should go back up within a few days and feeding may pick up again.

My son got to 18 months and was sooooo relieved when he finally took cows milk, friends had started to make comments, and I wanted my boobs back.

Well done for BFeeding for so long x

ooh is this thread still alive? :)

Hope everyone is doing well and LO's are behaving themselves :p

DS is 16 months old today, and finally has started walking! :j

He's a bit behind the other toddlers his age, but he's got there finally. A whole new world of pain opens up now doesn't it? :rotfl:

We are off to Spain on saturday for a week, and it will be DS's first trip abroad. I'm a bit nervous about the whole flying thing as I'm not a big fan of it myself, but all my friends say it isn't so bad and it isn't a very long flight, so will be arming myself with snacks-a-plenty, toys and books and calpol and hoping his teething doesn't flare up again..he was almost hysterical with it yesterday :(

He's also just got over a horrible stomach bug thing which saw all kinds of excretions from both ends. We had to take it in turns to take a day off work last week as there was no way he could go into nursery or to the childminder.

Praying that's the last we've seen of that too.

Hope there are still a few mummies lurking x

Congrats on mastering walking Josh. Yes, it just means more bumps and shunts for a while yet. I'm not sure when they finally decide it pays to look where they are going!

Yes, would love to hear how everyone and their LO's are doing.

It seems like ours is learning a new word every day. Although 'up' is starting to wear a bit thin (as in pick me up) why can't she play for more than five minutes without my full attention???

    Hi everyone,

Re the Clarks shoes, I'm lucky as I live near four outlet places which all have Clarks shops in them so we can usually get them for around £20, sometimes less depending on the style. They measure feet there too. Worth a trip if you can find one near you.

Sophie's 17 months old now, can't believe how quickly the time has passed.

We took her to Sundown Adventure Park yesterday, near Retford which is designed for under 10s. She loved it and went on all the rides! Boat ride (like a lazy river); train ride (cowboys); sleigh ride; tractor ride (she drove the tractor!) and the Robin Hood horse driven train. Loads of suitable play areas and only £11 for adults (under 3s free) we had a great day out!

    Katy x
