Still not preggers :( Onto the 5th cycle...

I'm also quite sad as it seems the breastfeeding has come to an end. I was out Thursday night, so for the first time OH put DD to bed on his own with cows milk. She went down without a fuss! Couldn't believe it. So I BF her as normal in the morning. Then I tried putting her down last night with no BM...again no probs. Then this morning I was up early with terrible AF pains, so OH got DD out of bed, nappy changed her and for the first time ever she wasn't screaming for the BF, so I didn't give her one. She hasn't looked for it at all. :( I know it's good really, but I'm secretly gutted! lol There's just no pleasing me! I'm quite chuffed I did 13.5 months though.

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with Mothercare first walking shoes?

My DD is nearly 16 months and I got her 2 pairs of Clarks shoes in the sale last December. I think she is due another pair and would prefer not to have to pay £30 in Clarks. I've seen some nice shoes in the Mothercare First Shoes range for £12.

Is there any reason why these wouldn't be OK for my LO?

    Thanks.

Hi Giz, it might just be a blip. We tend to go up and down with BF's depending on if I'm around or if she wants milk + added comfort.

Sending you babydust for next cycle (gosh it feels like years since I last sent babydust on TTC board!!)

Can't help CL, but would be interested to know, as I've just forked out for LO's first pair of Clarks too and the thought that I'm now on the treadmill of paying out £30 a pop for these things every couple of months doesn't seem very MSE.

I'm hoping the Clarks sale is soon. In the last sale I got DD a size 3.5 and a size 4 and I think her toes are nearing the end of the size 3.5. The size 4 is a velcro strap and she won't keep them on for 2 minutes. I got them half price and was hoping they would do until the next sale, but no sign of it yet.

I was thinking about maybe getting the Clarks Doodles coming into the Spring/Summer. They are £16 and machine washable, so a bit more reasonably priced.

The thing with getting the shoes somewhere else is do they fit properly. Often even in Clarks my kids will have to try of several different styles of shoes to get one pair that fit properly. I've always found the clarks shoes to have a much better fit that cheaper shoes. As they get bigger I've bought cheaper shoes that they only wear occassionally like sandles or wellies but stick to clarks for their everyday shoes.

Giz I know its sad but you've done so well to do it for so long and as a positive it could have been interfering still with the ttc so you may catch easier now xx

Well we've got a poorly squeak, DD1 was the child from hell this morning!

Oh and we sold a caravan awning on eBay as collection only and some woman up north bought it, insisted on paying paypal (we had it cash on collection) and had a courier pick it up... And she's now saying bits are missing and it was mouldly basically saying that if we don't give her a refund she will neg and complain to eBay  the thing is OH unfolded and checked it all as we'd never sell anything we wouldn't be happy to receive. OH is now saying he's going to refuse anyone who can't collect to avoid this sort of scam :(

    Happy Mother's Day folks!

Hope everyone is well and happy. We haven't done much today as we went out last night and are a bit knackered today, but have been having lots of fun playing with DS who has finally worked out how to use his walker, rather than just spinning the wheels around!

I reckon he'll be walking in the next few weeks :) We'll have to get some shoes soon too I think. Honestly, £30 for a pair of shoes that will probably only last a couple of months seems criminal!

    Hi Giz,

Same thing happened to us. I was out one night and so DH gave DS cows milk. I bf DS in the morning. Then the next night we put him down again after cows milk. Gradually he seemed less fussy with the morning feeds and so these stopped as well. So pleased I managed to do it for over 12 months. Never thought I would get past the first week in the beginning as I found it sooo painful but guess us ladies are made of strong stuff!!
