Glad the smear went ok LL and that your LO is feeling better.
Had my first KIT day at work thurs and first whole day away from Poppy (left her with OH) and she was fine, even fell asleep on him in the morning which she would never do for me!
Hqad a busy day yesterday with family visiting so she hardly napped so think she was tired today as she got really upset which she hardly ever does and then napped for 3 hours, much brighter this afternoon.0 -
Glad your KIT day went well Wendz86 and well done Poppy for coping so well being away from Mummy. We have enjoyed our weekend with LO doing so much better, we went to the park yesterday and went on the swings and the slide! Today we went to Butterfly world and saw a few butterflies, but LO really enjoyed the otters and ducks.
I am now suffering, I have a nasty chest infection building and i am sneezing like a joke. I hope i can rest tomorrow and be ready to get back to work on monday, as a week off is not ideal.
Hope you are all having a good weekend, i hear it is snowing up in Scotland, stay warm guysLeopardlady

After some sleep advice again!
Now you may think i'm mad but I think my DD sleeps too much at night(lol) and its too early for her to be sleeping 9-11 hours a night and its stop her sleeping in the day,she starts to get really cranky around 5ish where she is tired and we give her a bath bout 7 then feed at 8 then shes usually asleep by 9/9.30. then I have to wake her for a feed usually at 3 then will go back to sleep until 6/7.I know I should be grateful shes sleeping so well at night
She was asleep by 8.45pm. So been 11hours had a feed in the night, am I letting her sleep too much at night and I should start getting her up at the same time each morning or just let her wake up?
She doesn't sleep well in the day is it because she sleeps too much at night0 -
Happy new weeks to you all.
Just giving us a little bump and want to say how much I'm loving being a mum at the moment. She has slept thru the night for three whole weeks, is learning new stuff in leaps and bounds, especially her understanding and communicating skills; pointing, understanding yes and no, simple instructions etc etc. And yesterday we had our first solo steps.
Sorry, hope I don't sound like one of those bragging mummies. I smell a poo, best be off ....We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Isla has a late feed at about 10 or 11, then she sleeps until the morning. Maybe try that?
I am checking with a pre school (already ) for squeak, she wont be 2 till august but I want to see if the one the twins went to will have a space for her.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I've never woken my little girl up for a feed tbh, I've just let her fall into her own routine and followed that. She's slept through the night from about 8/9 weeks, often sleeping for 12-13 hours but I've never worried about it. The downside is that she fights sleep during the day and usually only has a couple of catnaps but I think thats because she just enjoys the stimulation during the day and doesn't want to sleep in case she misses out an anything lol. I'm not sure how old your little girl is but if she seems healthy and happy I'd just leave her be and enjoy being able to get a good nights sleep yourself.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

Your DD is still quite young isn't she? Are you breastfeeding? If so how is that going? Babies often like to get most of their milk at night but if she is feeding well during the day, putting on weight and generally thriving then it may not be a problem. At 2.5 my DD wont nap during the day if we let her sleep in but at your stage they need lots of sleep and should still be having at least two naps a day.
I was trying to find out the age of your DD and noticed on one of your posts your DD chokes a bit at the start of a feed. You could have an over active let down. Ways to combat this are leaning back at the start of the feed, expressing a little when you have your let down or putting the palm of your hand over your other nipple when you have your let down - I think this last bit is correct, we were just discussing it at my bf supervision session last week but I haven't seen it written anywhere so let me know if you want me to check.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Hi all,
Well my LO is back at nursery, bouncy and happy and eating really wellI on the other hand have had to spend a night in hospital as i have a nasty chest infection and had an asthma attack ontop of that! I am now on a very high dose of antibiotics and lots of steroids. My lungs really hurt and my breathing is not getting better at the moment but I hope to be back to form very soon.
I hope you are all wellLeopardlady

Oh bless you LL, hope you get well soon x
Mit3 - so lovely to read you are enjoying mummyhoodand congrats on your DD's first steps!
I agree that this age is fantastic. DS is 13 months now, and so animated! He makes us laugh so much, babbling away and interested in everything. Congrats on your DD's first steps! DS is pulling himself up to his feet every chance he gets, so don't think it will be too long before he is taking his first steps too
I have started working from home for my new job. I was meant to be starting there on Feb 13th, but they postponed my start date until April 2nd due to some changes going on internally. They did say however that they were going to honour my contract and start paying me from Feb 13th, which was fine by me!
They have asked me to work on some projects from home in the weeks before I start at the office now, which is fine. DS is doing well at nursery and with the childminder, so I am able to just quietly get on with it.
Hope everyone else is doing well.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
