Oh no about your bad night BigBird. I am dreading Poppy still sleeping like she is at the moment when i go back to work.

I guess having 4 days at the childminder would be consistant but depends on whether you working fridays is good for you.

Exercise is really addictive once you get into it. I've got EA Active for the Wii and do other training with resistance bands, press ups, burpees etc., and sometimes go out for a run. I've just bought Zumba for the Wii but not tried it yet.

I've not done anything since before Christmas with feeling poorly and I'm itching to get back into it now, even though I'm still not well enough to do anything.

Getting started is definitely the hardest part though as it's so easy to do something else instead. *sending huge pots of motivation* :D

Dog lover i am with you i really want another baby but my acid reflux was really bad and i am not sure if i can cope with it! Saying that i didnt have it with DD1 just a bit of heartburn.

As for age gaps i have a 9 year gap between my girls (different dads) DD1 is 9 and she is worshipping our 11 day old baby it is a lovely age gap. I would like another baby and would like them close together.

oh the other thing i was going to say is i scanned the emma's diary vouchers so if anyone wants me to email them to you pm me your email address.

The packs can be collected from Argos or Lloyds chemist. they contain newborn huggies sample nappies, a small packet of wet wipes, small nappy cream, £1 off any huggies newborn vouchers and some other bits. there are 3 vouchers. i can email them to you and you can print them, cut them out and collect them. you can collect as many packs as you like just print more vouchers

Eek! We were down on page 6  This thread certainly doesn't move as fast as it used to.

What nappies are parents of babies/toddlers of a similar age to Joe (14 months) using at night? We've been using Huggies super dry for ages with no problems, but the last few weeks they are leaking every night. Joe does seem to be drinking more than he used to, but I don't think he drinks excessively (he has a tommee tippee straw cup and has a couple of those full of diluted juice each day along with 2 bottles of formula). I don't think it's a bad batch of Huggies as we've tried the Nature Babycare ones that we normally use during the day and they leak too.

And I think we need new shoes too as his toes feel like they are at the end of the current ones already  I'm not sure that I know what I'm feeling though - just copying how I remember my Mum pressing on my toes when I was a kid :rotfl: How often should babies' feet be measured? I found the receipt for the current pair and he's only had them just over 5 weeks!

  • Morning all! Happy New Year and all that. I hope jolly Christmases were had by all :)

DS turns 1 in 5 days. Where that year went I have no idea, and there was me thinking the old 'they grow up so fast' was just a cliche!

We begin settling in at the nursery this morning. An hour and a half today, 2 and a half hours tomorrow, and then half a day next Monday. I am also settling him in with the childminder next week too. He will be at nursery Monday's and Tuesday's and with the CM on wednesdays.

Hoping he will be ok with it all <frets>

Does everyone here attempt to brush LO's teeth regularly? I have tried both with a baby toothbrush (bit rubbish as most of the toothpaste gets licked off onto his tongue) and with my finger (ouch! won't do that again!)

Is it totally wrong that I don't do them everyday? Will he end up like Shane McGowan of the Pogues in later life?? <frets some more>

hi mv i brush my LO's teeth with a toothbrush both morning after his breakfast and at night before he goes to bed. Somtimes he is really good and other times it is more like he is eating the toothpaste! im hoping that the routine now will make it easier when hes older as it seems to be one of these things children hate. ( i remember an episode of supernanny in America and the parents had to hold the children down to brush their teeth and they were a lot older maybe 5/6 ish)

im now getting worried about the amount of words my LO is saying, at 16months he only uses a few words. is this the way its always going to be, you worry about one thing then the other?
