Phew busy few days, but briefly logging on to wish everyone here a very merry christmas and happy new year.
We're off to spend it in the sun, so won't be around for a while. Hope all the new mum's get some much deserved sleep and rest over the festive period.
Can't believe I have been on this board almost a year now. Our LO will be one next month:eek: Thanks for all the support this year.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

My little chap is 3+ months and getting 6 big 7 oz bottles a day and is waking up earlier every night and taking a full bottle each time. He's on a 3 hour routine and barely lasts 3 hours between bottles. He was 8lb 5oz born 2 weeks early and now over a stone.
Don't know why I'm a bit wary of using the hungry baby milk, just wondering if anyone has some experience with it?
We've used it and still do for his night feeds. It agreed with him so much (less sick, happier during the night) that we decided to use it full time (sma one). We've had to go back to sma gold for day feeds as hungry baby made him constipated and sicky when used all the time.0 -
Hey, just wondering if anyone knows what paints/inks you can you to make prints of LO's feet/hands? I've had a look online but most say unsuitable for under 3s. I found this one,but not sure if it will be ok to use?http://www.amazon.co.uk/Babys-Touch-Baby-Reusable-Print/dp/B005J4RH5S/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1324937616&sr=8-70

Hello all. I've not been on here for ages but dh bought me an iPad for christmas so hopefully I'll get online more on here as I'm usually on my phone which doesn't work well with mse!
Hope everyone is doing well and had a good ChristmasMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Firstly congratulations Jennynoo on a baby boy :jYou could try giving her a snack, say some porridge or something close to bed time if you think it is hunger but it could be anything, teething, ill or something else, you probably wont know until after it's over. I didn't notice any reduction in milk when my periods came back but DD was 17 months by then so eating lots of food anyway!
DD was a sleepy baby at first, I had to try tickling her feet and just generally waggling her around when feeding to keep her awake. Luckily it didn't last too long so maybe your LO will improve as well. There are some tips here: http://www.mother-2-mother.com/cc-baby-A.htm#SleepyBabies and another article I read recommends you nurse baby at least every two hours during the day and at least every 4 hours at night to establish your milk supply in the early days with a sleepy baby if they are not demand feeding often enough.
Well, my big news is I had my 20 week scan today and I'm going to have a boy :j Actually I'm a bit in shock still as I'm one of three girls and already have one daughter so having a son is going to take a bit of getting used to. I'd saved all DD's nicest outfits in the hope of passing them on to another daughter - did that without really thinking, for some reason I always assumed I'd just have girls. At least I now have four months to get used to the idea!
I didn't want to say anything before but I had started giving her porridge before bed! It's working...she's been sleeping through again and she seems a lot happier. She can't live on porridge though can she? She's does really well at breakfast and mostly well at lunch. But I find dinner time is hit or miss as to whether she'll eat much. Then again when she's teething she seems to suffer more at the end of the day so maybe that's why and I guess something like porridge is nicer to eat? I don't know. It'll be so much easier when she can talk (won't it?!)Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

Yeahj I can join you lovely lot now!!
Baby who is so damm cute its unbelievable but has no name arrived on Christmas day!! She was born at 7.42 weighing 10lb natural labour with gas and air shoulders got stuck though and she was back to back! Had to stay in for 24 hours to have babies glucose monitored. Came home 8pm last night. Last night was a bit rough to be honest I am not on any pain relief and my back was hurting so going to try and sort some drugs out today! She fed and messed around a bit until 2 am then slept quiet well in with us!!:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart
Proven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Hope everyone is feeling full of the Christmas spirit. I have to admit I'm feeling a little too sleep deprived to be very excited about tomorrow.

Hey, hope everyone is well. I haven't been on this thread for aaaaages!
We changed to Aptimil Hungry Baby when Amy was 11 weeks old. She was feeding every 2 hours during the day and 3 hourlyish at night. Within 2 days we'd got it to 5 bottles a day (roughly 9, 12, 3, 6 and 9) and no night feeds! It made everything so much easier, especially getting out and about. We also put her onto variflow teats which were much better for her too. She's a big girl, at 7 months she's 22lbs and is on 98th centile for length and between 91st and 98th for weight. She's happy, healthy and thriving on it, so wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
 Mummy to an amazing little girl

can i ask a car seat question? The one i have bought doesnt fit properly in my mums or my partners car. Also baby being 10lb i cant carry her in it as my back still hurts.
Has anyone bought on that stays in the car not the carrier style from 0+ and can you advice on which ones you have that are good and any that you have had that you have found bad?
I am going to have to go somewhere and get one! i am a bit annoyed the one i have is no good but it is just a rubbish fit and not worth risking it!
Also has anyone seen any good sales or money off codes i dont really have a budget will pay what i need to get the right seat:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart
