Doglover.. I think babies with reflux find it hurts their tummies less if they lay on their fronts.. I know my 3 that had reflux preferred to sleep that way. You could try a respisense if you think it will provide extra reassurance? I have one for mine when they are in the car seats for 2 hours when we go to OHs mums.. Squeak usually slept the whole way so I liked having the extra reassurance she was still breathing.

Argh.. had loads to waffle about and Dot just woke up.. be back later if I remember :p

Hi ladies OMG I have a different baby!! He's sleeping brilliantly day and night and is subsequently much happier. The more sleep he's had the more he's wanted. All I need now is to get his reflux meds reviewed as hrs still limited as to how much he'll feed. I can tell he'd take more but the poor little soul gets to a point where it clearly hurts too much to take more. Seeing the consultant this week so we'll see then. I reckon once he can take more he'll sleep longer at night. Currently hrs going from 10/10.30 ish till 3.30 so to me that's totally amazing!! He woke at 5 in a bit of pain so I changed him and gave him some gripe water and he went back till 6.30.

We've been joining clubs and groups too now so we're enjoying a new life style. My house isn't a show home (never was!) but it no longer looks like it's been turned over!

PP I haven't got a clue what that is that you suggested. Will get googling.

What age is it that they can be in car seats longer than 2 hours?

We're being fought over for Xmas day between the two families. I'm thinking of dating we'll spend some time with one in the morn and the other in the afternoon but have lunch just the three of us at home followed by a Christmas day snooze! Do you all know what you'll be doing?

is anyone breastfeeding and expressing, and a member of bizzie baby or would like to join up. ihave been talking to the allocations lady on the bizzie baby website and she is looking for another person to review and electronic double breast pump and a bra if anyone is interested it might be worth emailing her.

    www.bizziebaby.co.uk is the website

the allocations lady email is gill@bizziebaby.co.uk

and the products she wants reviewing are

    http://ameda.co.uk/breastpumps/ameda-lactaline-double-electric-personal-breastpump

    http://ameda.co.uk/breastpump-accessories/simple-wishes

hope someone can benefit from this. the cost of signing up to bizzie baby think is £5 for the year but it may have gone up im not sure im not due for renewal till jan i think.

i have been a member for 3 yrs now and have always been allocated several products a year to review so it has been worth the sign up fee

edited to say, just double checked and its still £5 for the year to sign up

Can you stay home and have people come and visit you?

As a child I used to hate getting up and opening all my new stuff, and then being dragged off to relatives when I really wanted to be at home with my new stuff.

Since having my eldest, I've always had Christmas here so the bairns can spend plenty of time with their new things.

Now you say that Beccles I agree! I too hated being dragged away from all my new toys. Thanks for the suggestion. That'd work with DHs side but there'll be 13 over at my parents and I could do without them all turfing up here this year. I think I'll get DHs family to come to us then we only have to go our once. I just don't want LO to get over hyped up and/or over tired.

Why oh why am I awake when all I've done is moan about lack of sleep?!

Hi to Claireloo and Claire. Not "seen" you for a while, hope you're both ok.

    Right off to sleep .....

We're hopefully going up to visit my folks for Christmas. I say hopefully as it was all planned and then our cat sitter decided to book a holiday over Christmas and when I called the cattery they were fully booked  We are on the reserve list and they are calling around their provisional bookings this week, so fingers crossed we will have a space for Ivor.

I'm a bit concerned that something is wrong with our cat, to be honest. We've always kept him in overnight, but lately he spends most of the evening wailing to go back out and even through the night (we shut him downstairs, but I can still hear him from our bedroom). It's only come on in the last couple of weeks so I don't think it is due to being stressed out by having a baby in the house, while Joe has been mobile for months. He's getting on a bit, so I'd rather not start letting him out on cold nights.

Doglover so glad things are better for you. Makes you feel so much better and getting out and about helps too!

I am absolutely knackered this morning but i don't even think Poppy was awake that much think i just need to catch up on some sleep (6 months worth haha).

Good luck for the cat sitter BigBird.

We are going to my family for Christmas, thankfully OH thinks it's easier to go to mine rather than choose between his mum/dad. Also Poppy is the only grandchild on my side and his family is much bigger. We will go and see them in the afternoon for a bit or on boxing day probably.

no idea what we are doing for Xmas - there is only usually me, my mam and my brother. but OH has a big family Xmas at his sister's....urgh

Got E weighed yesterday - 16lbs 3oz. Got a lecture off the health visitor who weighed him (never met her before!) about how he should be in a high chair and eating solids. He's just turned 6 months, doesnt hold his head up yet and can't chew. Stupid woman.

People are still letting fireworks off here at night and my poor dog has been doped up for the last week or so. Sick of them:(

Hope you find a catsitter Bigbird. Have you tried posting for advice in the pets forum about him going out? Never had a cat so can't offer any advice!

Just me, the bairns and my parents for Christmas Day here.

Got a throbbing foot as I pulled a plantar ligament on Monday and I've been to the dentist today to have a temp filling put in and now my mouth is throbbing, so I feel a bit miserable :(:o
Here I go again on my own....
