hi everyone, i was just thinking i need to get started on Christmas have to work out my budget first though as now back at work doing less hours money rather tight!

OH parents invited us away for the weekend on Thursday- they had already booked a cabin for everyone in the family that day! we couldn't get in touch with them until last said and said we're too skint sorry cant go, they were very annoyed and offered to lend us the money but we declined as we wouldn't be able to pay them back for ages. couldn't borrow my sisters travel cot either as they are away so don't know where we would get one from. OH now upset he has upset his parents when i feel they are the unreasonable ones!!
haven't seen them for 1.5 months either and they only live 20 minutes away!

little angel- no advice as my LO was the same and just got better with age unfortunately!

Hi all. LO has been a nightmare sleeping the last few days. Moaning and crying in her sleep every 15 minutes and I've had to have her in with me to comfort her and so I've got no sleep myself. She is in good form during the day, but refusing to eat much which isn't like her. I'm going to give her Calpol and Nurofen at bedtime tonight and hope she's a bit better tonight. My Mum always says she must be sore from teething, but I suppose in a way they are constantly teething from 4/5 months until all their teeth are in.

When did you LOs start to only have one nap per day? My LO has only had one 35 minute nap today. I wanted to get some housework done during her naps, but it didn't happen. The house needs a good clean.

CL, Joe went off his food when his last lot of teeth came through. There's at least another one trying to come through at the moment and he is still eating but not as much as he has been. He was enjoying munching on sticks of cucumber earlier, I guess they must be nice and cool on his sore gums.

Joe's also only been having one nap for the last few days. It had got really hard to get him to have his afternoon nap, so we've been keeping him awake longer in the morning, then putting him down around 11:30. Our house is getting to be a bit of a tip as I just don't seem to get time to tidy up properly :(

    Morning

That sounds so annoying elaine. I'd be annoyed if they'd booked something without checking I could afford it first.

Had a good day out yesterday and the bairns enjoyed it.

Off out to work this morning with a couple of calls to do, then watching Josh play football this afternoon. It's cold and grey and my tummy is still iffy, so I'm not looking forward to standing in the cold all afternoon :o

Have a good day all xx

That's not very fair on you Elaine. You shouldn't have to get into debt to please the in-laws. I hope they realise this.

my LO always has a nap in morning for about 1 hour at 9.30ish but lately been struggling with the afternoon nap, nursery haven't been able to get him to sleep in afternoon for a couple of months and he is always so grumpy if he doesn't. might try putting him down slightly later to see if that works.

cant believe the weather here it feels like winter already and im going to look out all my winter clothes later on tonight when LO in bed.

    Morning

Got a really busy week with work and no energy :o

Charlotte is learning rhyming words at school, so she keeps looking for rhyming pairs. I was impressed over the weekend when she paired up forget and baguette and bus station and crustacean :D

Have a good day all xx

    Hi everyone,

    Wondering if anyone can help.
LO had been in his own room since 2/3 weeks as seemed to sleep quite well on his own. However I felt guilty about this plus he seemed to be needy in the daytime so a week ago moved his basket back into our room.
Whereas he was waking say at around 1 and 4 for a feed before, or sometimes even just once, now he wakes more - last night was 12:30, 2 and 4am. On the 4am one I gave him a dummy as he seemed to just be eating a bit then sucking, using me to sleep sort of thing. Each feed was around 15-20 mins, so he shouldn't have been hungry again so soon.

At the same time, this is his 12th week, so I am unsure as to whether he is waking more for food because of that or the moving back in with us.

Does anyone have experience of this? Hubby is tempted to move him back into his nursery and I must admit that with the lack of sleep last night I might be swayed...
