Hi everyone,
Same for me Becles, at home today and have someone popping round for tea this morning.
Managed to get LO into the nursery for a morning nap, just took him up in his daycot, at least it gets him used to being in there for a nap in the day. Then I guess I will try one day this week to put him in his basket with no daycot. I bet there will be tears!
OH was much better this weekend and we had some lovely family time together with a couple of walks, he seemed relaxed and I think it did him good to just get the fresh air and see LO that much more. He is too stressed in the week to be all over the place on the weekend, it seems every time we have a life change he does go through a little weird phase but he was very chilled this time. Thanks all for your support.

Jenny - glad the 4 days works well for you as that is what i'm doing when i go back.
Becles - good luck with the housework!
Sparkle- glad you had some good family time this weekend.
Was planning on going to the local baby and toddler group this morning but we ended up having a bit of a lie in!0 -
Hi everyone,
Well he lasted all of 20 mins in the nursery then the cries got to me, I tried calming him and reassuring that he needed a nap, but he wants to be near me and I brought him down. Thing is yesterday he did not nap well and was cranky all afternoon, was hoping today would be better...
Anyone have any tips?

No advise here i'm afraid as i let Poppy nap on me.
Those of you with babies with teeth what were the signs they were teething? Poppy has been really irritable today and yesterday and is drooling loads more than usual.0 -
Glad you had a good trip CL, how long were you away for?
Hi, we were only away for four nights, but it went well and think we could holiday abroad with a baby again. It has persuaded DH that it would be doable, as he was quite anxious about taking her abroad.
I've not had a chance to read much of the thread over the last few weeks, but I'm going to try to keep up from now on!0 -
Morning
It's much easier travelling abroad with a baby than a toddler. At least a baby will stay when you put it, so you can relax with them, but you need eyes in the back of your head with a toddler running round the poolside.
Had a rubbish night's sleep. Charlotte has a cough and a cold and kept waking up crying in the night. I think she's passed her germs on as I've got that niggly scratchy feeling in my throat. September has been horrendous for germs this year. We all caught a cold when they started back at school last week, then we had sickness and diarrhoea last week and now coughs and colds again. It's just so unfair!
Off to work this morning with some jobs to do, then working on my big to do list this afternoon.
Have a good day all xxHere I go again on my own....0 -

Yeah drooling and wanting to put everything in their mouths, Jamie has 2 teeth already, just watch out when you are b/feeding LOL it is really ouchie, he has only done it a couple of times but oh me it hurts!! We got an amber teething necklace and I do think it has helped (along with ashton and parsons powder and anbesol)."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Becles , hope you haven't caught the cold and that Charlotte feels better soon.
Sounds like it could be then Teenie, although she always wants to put everything in her mouth haha. Sounds painful...not looking forward to it hehe.
Just to let everyone know as well sainsurys has 25% off clothes if anyone needed anything for LO's.0 -
Just to say we've had excessive drooling and putting everything in her mouth since LO was two months. Every time we had irritability or a bad day we blamed it on teething. She's 8 months now and still a toothless gummy bear.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0

Good morning ladies. I had to search high and low and found us on page 3!
Sorry I've not posted recently, I have lurked where possible. We've been having a tough time with LO but seem to finally be reaching a sustained level of improvement. We ended up being referred to hospital and after various tests LO simply has severe reflux and colic. We've been given various meds and a prescription formular. LO seems to be less fussy and is easier to calm. He'll be 6 weeks on Friday so him getting older must help too.
Re naps, we've not been able to get LO into any sort of slumber during the day or most of the night!! However he is begining to sleep more now but only whilst laying on DH or I. Despite the HV lecturing us we decided to let him do that because he's still so small and he's been poorly. We have, in the last day or so started to transfer him into Moses once asleep. He screams if he's put down whilst awake. Once he's improved further I will make more effort to pop him down as he's drifting off to get used to it. I need to wait for that arm flapping reflex to stop because it wakes him up. I read that it stops around 6-8 weeks.
I hope you're all well and happy Wednesday!0
