Morning
another bad night, DD up at midnight coughing Bob up at 4am screaming. He has his second tooth coming. OH isnt home from work yet. I was gonna take Bob for a long walk this morning whilst he slept but cant really see the point if he isnt home, Bobs gonna be tired anyway, he probably only slept for another 20mins before I got up at 5:30 fed up with trying to get him back to sleep.
Meant to be dieting at the mo, only second week but finding it too hard when Bob has bad nights.
Bob was 6 weeks at Christmas last year, we gave him a playmat but tbh he would have got it regardless of it being Christmas. DS was 6 months and got lots of little things like Charlotte and DD was 10 months and got loads - spoilt first child lol she had so much we gave her some before Christmas and ended up saving some for her birthday too, she got ride on toys, babies, prams all sorts. Bobs getting the bounce and spin zebra for christmas this year but I've heard lots of babies dont take to it so he might not have it long if he doesnt like it. He is getting a ride on toy for his birthday I managed to get at the end of the asda baby event for £15 and I want to open a saving account for him.0 -
Becles and Merfe sorry you had bad nights - hopefully tonight will be easier... Becles feel better soon.
Tsstss7 what shaped bamboos did you get? And don't they take ages to dry? Wondering what you use at night too, as for now we are using disposables but I'd like to use washable if it was def going to keep him dry. I do have some pocket bamboo nappies and bamboo or microfibre inserts. I also have regular pocket nappies too, they are all birth to potty ones, have you considered those? Not that expensive - from £2.49 on ebay (without inserts) or up to around £5.40 with inserts. You can also buy branded ones but these are £12 and upwards.

Hello everyone :hello:
I have huge resppect for everyone using washable nappies, I don't have the stomach for it, and I barely keep up with washing all the clothes much less nappies too!
Squeak has been having lots of disturbed nights again and I think she's getting more teeth. She can't have many left to get now. Can't believe she is 13 months already where did that go
I'm sure we will find somewhere eventually
I did ask my current LL if he had anywhere else and he said he hasn't but he'd let me know if anything comes up.
OH has done an ASDA shop online... I am reading through his basket and it is all rubbish lol so I'd best get on and put some actual food on it!
Becles sick bugs are revolting, fingers crossed we've not had one in a while but they're another thing that tends to creep out of the woodwork when the weather gets cooler. I hope you guys feel better soon and that you don't wake up to any more doggy messes
Is Pigpen OK?
I'm using OH's laptop, can only read not post on mine because mine is all loose where the power cable goes in so it just keeps switching off at will unless you really hold the cable in a certain place lol. So I usually get to read about 6 posts, then it cuts out and I lose patience and go do something else!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Has anyone here suffered, and if so what did you do? Did you go to the Dr and what did they prescribe/advise/offer etc?Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0

Hi mv, I'm usually a lurker but wanted to reply as my lo is same age as yours. I've just recently seen gp re PND. They did a heap of bloods to make sure there was nothing physical wrong then put me on antidepressants. Not feeling full effect yet as only couple of weeks. But feel so much better having sought help and gp was great as it is a difficult thing to admit you may be suffering. Hth

Hi winnie - thanks so much for posting.
I think I am going to try and make an appointment to see my GP next week. Keep thinking though that I am just over tired and worrying about stuff and I don't need to see anyone.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Hi everyone
Just a quick question - my LO resists naps every morning - I am definitely noticing a pattern forming there. He had half an hour this morning (in his room, in the dark so as to avoid stimulation downstairs). He's been wide awake ever since - I expect he will have his usual epic nap this afternoon. But what am I supposed to do with him all morning when he's awake? I put him on his play gym or his bouncer, or cuddle him for a bit but he seems to get restless and I can't get anything done. How on earth do I entertain a wide awake 4 week old?
Also, he still seems to be wanting to eat every hour and a half to 2 hours and I think its down to boredom because I know he can go 3 and a half hours at night time.Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -
I Thought I was just tired but having spoken to doctor they were very supportive. I think we blame tiredness for lots of things but sometimes it is more. Gp can either reassure you that all is well or offer help if needed. Def recommend a check for your peace of mind. It is hard work looking after our wee ones.0

ClairIeloo - is definately hard to get things done when they are very small. I spent a lot of time cuddled up watching tv. Poppy has never napped much so have never had much time to do stuff although got easier. Getting hard again though as she rolls everywhere now haha.
She also fed loads to start with so think thats pretty normal.0 -
