Teenie - there is a 4 month sleep regression that often happens so don't know if is anything to do with that. poppy had a few awful weeks but has been a bit better the last week. It is to do with a developmental stage the go through, there is a good book called the wonder weeks that explains it. Might be just the dummy though like you say.
Hope someone can help of the dummy advise. Poppy refused to have one!
Oh and Delain that is silly about the house, 4 bed sounds like it would be fine.0 -
Yeah I did read about the Wendz and explained a lot, was just hoping he would have got past it by now LOL!! He is definatley dummy dependant for sleeping though, he looks for it even at nap time. He is so, so good at going down to and goes awake all the time and settles himself - just not without his dummy! How old is Poppy now (there are just couple of weeks I think between Jamie and Poppy?). Jamie at first refused a dummy but he was using me as a soother and then his thumb which I wasn't happy about so persevered with it (and paying for it now

That's rubbish about the house delain. I'm one of 4 and we grew up in a 3 bed house, so I can't see any problem with children sharing.
I might look at getting a duvet when we get paid this month as even if he doesn't take to it just yet, we'll be needing one eventually as he'll be in the cot bed for at least another couple of years.
Sorry, I can't really help with the dummy Teenie. Joe never took to one. He does have a comforter though, one of these. He sucks on the ears or a corner of the blanket when he's going to sleep. Could you try replacing the dummy with something like that? As the comforter is reasonably big, Joe can find it easily if he wakes in the night. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. Delain sorry to hear about the house, that's a crazy reason!
DogLover I was the same, was looking forward to OH going back to work in a weird way as I wanted to get into my own rhythm with little one.
By the way everyone, Sainsburys has 1/3 off all baby stuff so stock up! I bought nappy rash cream and some wipes for travel, as for regular nappy changes we use washable wipes which saves a bit.
Is anyone else on here using washable nappies?

Delain that parp about the house!!!! Grr! Flamin weirdos, no idea why that wouldn't be allowed the council have 6 kids & 2 adults in a 3 bed house nextdoor but 1 to me:eek: Don't see how it would matter with them all being girls anyway...there may be a slight(stupid) excuse if there was a boy thrown in the mix! Hope you find something eventually x
I am lurking ladies but can't post so much..they're finally making me work:eek: :j it won't last though so I'm enjoying the fast pace while I can..how odd do I sound??:o:p:D

Poppy was born 19th April so about two weeks older so Jamie will hopefully settle down with his sleep soon! She uses me as a dummy, just started to get her to self settle at night unless she has already fallen asleep being fed.
I also have a comforter similar to what BigBird said and she seems to like it and sucks on it a bit so think it helps her.
I think i am going to stock up on some nappies from sainsburys as they are all a third off.0 -

Charlotte was 7 months. We didn't get her a big present and bought loads of little things like shape shorters, chunky cars, stacking cups etc.
I used to put a couple of things out for her to play with and when she got bored, I swap them with something else which kept her more amused than one big toy.
Well we got turned down for a 4 bed house because we've got too many children apparently
seems odd really, 2 to a room seems fine to me!
That's rubbish! There's no harm in sharing, especially when they are all girls.
Still feel sickly here but survived today at work! It's really wiped me out this bug

Morning
Jack's turn to be bad now! Woke up to a mess in the utility room again and had to mop the floor and hose his back end down.
Feel a bit better this morning but still feel nauseous. Off to work this morning but just going to do as much as I can manage.
Have a good day all xxHere I go again on my own....0
