I havent been out in months.. other than various appointments.. and now just thinking about going out makes me tired.
tomorrow however we need to take the car to get the wheel/tyre sorted.. it appears to have a slow puncture or a leaky valve or something and keeps going flat.. OH is taking Squeak to a party on Saturday so we need to know it is ok for motorway driving! We then need to go buy a birthday present for said birthday child.. return some stuff to Argos, take the cat to vet IF I can get her an apointment and do the school runs... I think I need a wheelchair lol
OHs mum has offered to come say for a few days when Dot is born... He said he would like her help.. I find it incredibly stressful having someone at the house.. and I cannot abide the fact someone else MIGHT fold my laundry.. I know I am being unreasonable.. though she did demand to know when the baby was arriving.. and refused to accept these things happen in their own sweet time!!!
Schoooooooool tomorrow for the whole lot.. and I CANNOTwait... I am so excited I am just not going to sleep tonight I just know it!
LOL my mil offered (very kindly) to come over to help when I had screaming sciatica - I'm talking not even able to go to the loo or get dressed.
Anyway OH conveys said offer and I'm screaming noooooo inbetween the pain screams while visualising MIL watching me crawling to the bathroom in my particularly dishevelled state. Needless to say 2 days later I was on my feet and cured (almost). :rotfl:
:j on the kids back to school thing. know how u feel as ds2 went back today and life is looking lots easier. Plus DS2 started a new (additional) playgroup today and absolutely LOVED it so I'm now glad I made a fuss and managed to persuade them to admit him this yr after a whole year and a half on the waiting list!!!MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
Morning
Mine go back to school today and I'm going to miss them! The boys have gone already and I'll walk Charlotte along in a little while.
It's her first day at full time school, so she's excitedly packed a lunchbox with plenty of food to keep her going - egg sandwich, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, cheese, yoghurt and an apple.
Hope everyone has a good day xxHere I go again on my own....0 -

She is currently removing the tail from the cat.
Oh how I LOVE LOVE LOVE school... my house is soooooooooooooo peaceful.. The girls were so excited tog o back they were up and dressed and sanding at the door aat 7:30... we live 2 minutes from school so that was a little eager I think!
Off to complete a whole list of jobs.. armed with juice, rice cakes, biscotti and crutches.. lol... I tripped over some 5h!te on the landing nd feel like I have ripped my pelvis in 2
and there is loads to do today... and all planned already

rning, Mine were glad to be back too... The twins are certainly making their presence felt anyway so I gather from the welcome they got in the office this morning although they were late
Yesterday killed me with the cold and the wet and being on my feet most of the day so I wasn't going to be out of the door at 7.20 today lol.
We've been and had a look round the shops as well, we would have gone to see the ducks if the ground there wasn't still swampy from yesterday. Did get a bargain though, our local co op has discontinued the Halos n Horns stuff I like for Squeak's hair, it's normally the best part of £3, I grabbed the couple they had left because they were seling them off at 65p
Think an early night is in order tonight, I'm a bit sore today which is only about the second or third time I've fet like this in this PG.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Glad the return to school is going well for everybody
. Schools here went back a few weeks ago but our house is still in total confusion and disarray as a result!:rotfl:
My little girl tried to sit herself up to get to the bottle of formula that I was holding earlier this morning and I am still in total shock as she made it up beyond 45* with her hands out to it and held herself there for far longer than I would be able to just now! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I am hoping that somebody can recommend a decent sling that does not antagonize existing back problems please? I had a really good one when my younger son was a baby which I cannot find but have no idea of what it was called or who made it.

I have three slings but the best by far is the moby wrap. I used the premaxx sling approximately 2 times - once when ds2 was newborn and once when dd was new lol. I'd even given it away in perfect condition and been given it back in much the same condition so I'd say its not the most comfortable one I've used.
Also have a conventional front carrier sling but OH uses that as he doesn't like the "wrappyness" of the moby. We tend to swap between us so LO doesn't get spinal compression in the carrier.
I like halos and horns too - I wonder if my local co-op has some

Hi everyone,
I thought it was time I introduced myself especially seeing as how Doglover and Clarieloo have already moved over to this thread. We had our first baby, Phoebe, on August 23rd. She was born by emergency C/S in the end as she was getting distressed and her heart rate was dropping, and I had not progressed beyond 5cm despite being induced in the end. We tried breastfeeding but I had inverted nipples and her latch was poor so I mostly expressed for the first 2 days before switching onto formula. I was ok with that decision at the time but as time goes on I am feeling insanely guilty about not trying harder:(
Baby is doing well, gaining weight but the HV and MW think she has colic so we've changed to the Aptamil comfort milk and are using dentinox as well so fingers crossed it makes a difference to her. My OH is being amazing and doing most of the nights on his own so far to let me sleep- I honestly don't know how I would have coped on my own. It all still seems a bit surreal being a mummy, and I haven't a clue what I'm doing 99% of the time but I am loving every second of it regardless:D
I'm sure I'll have lots of annoying questions in the coming weeks and months so I look forward to getting to know you all on here x:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
Hi Claire glad to hear your little girl made it safely in the end.

Please don't be harsh on yourself over not being able to bf your daughter as you made the decision you did to switch to formula based on wanting to keep her safe and healthy and well fed. To me that was a very selfless decision :A. In an ideal world we would all be able to breast feed successfully with no problems or complications but reality just doesn't work that way unfortunately
. You put your daughters needs first and you should never ever feel guilty about that:) 0 -

Hi and congratulations.
I have inverted nipples too and have successfully bfed my two youngest but it was a struggle to get both to latch at birth and neither achieved a good latch before 2 months.
It is possible to relactate if your baby is young however and for me I found the struggle worth it with my middle child as it has meant my nipples are now much less inverted and feeding dd is loads easier.
Don't feel you have to take this step however - I ff ds1 and he's a happy healthy 13 yr old now. However if it interests you try consulting a breastfeeding councillor or attending a booby group - they can be v good.
Feel free to pm me if you have any qu's about bfing - UI must be an expert by now concidering the amount of research I did when ds2 was small.MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0
