Hiya. I'm pleased to report that my lovely little boy is actually asleep! Poor thing has been beside himself for nearly 24 hours with colic only having really short cat naps and tiny snack feeds. After reading earlier I sent DH out for some Aptamil comfort formular and we've ditched the TT CTN bottles for some Avent. I'm hopeful that we'll start seeing an improvement by the weekend. Fingers crossed anyway as it's so heart breaking seeing him so upset.
I hope all your kiddiewinks enjoyed their school day.
Rach you seem v knowledgeable.
Re walking, I have to best honest and say that if it wasn't for the dog I'd probably do hardly any.
When (if) did you start doing anything to get your figure back? What did you do? I'm no longer BF either so I won't have that helping hand. I'd love to start fitting into my Pre preg clothes again but I fear it could be a while yet :-(.0 -

It's so cute, as is she. I really should take up knitting, not like I do anything else productive with my time! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Morning
That's a lovely jumper. I can't do knitting. I even managed to knit a wonky scarf when I was younger
Got a couple of jobs to do this morning, then going for lunch with my Mam. She's coming back here afterwards to collect Charlotte from school and see the boys when they get in. She's missing them already - awww!
Hope everyone has a good day xxHere I go again on my own....0 -
Doglover glad to hear your little one was a bit more settled. Hope the changes work well and he stays happier.

Not sure if this will be of any use to anybody else but I tried the maxi cosines winter cover for the car seat in my daughters pram this morning as it was absolutely freezing here and it fitted perfectly and kept her really snug and warm.

Becles I tried to crochet once and made a woolly lump

I can't knit either lol in spite of having my nan try to teach me, and OH's mum, although she did teach me crochet too but as I said, I'm rubbish at it
:o
I am lucky in that I lost some weight having Squeak and after (when I had the iron thing all I wanted was salad lol) so now I am in the bigger end of my normal clothes rather than maternity... Got told I looked nice this morning by someone which was nice if a bit random cos it was all stuff I grabbed off the floor :rotfl: didn't say that though, just said thank you!
Doglover it's good you're getting more sleep, don't worry about exercising etc too soon, crunches and sit ups are quite bad for your stomach muscles if done too early after giving birth, if you feel the need to do anything then just think about what you're eating and try to switch down (ie green top milk, thin sliced bread or wraps etc says the size 16/18 hypocrite
) Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

I love hand knitted jumpers on babies they look the cutest!
I don't know anyone who knits but my mum got me some from a farmers market.
H is toddling along on his own very happily now though quite a few bumped heads, bruises and scabs and he had a nose bleed last week, i was on my own and i coped wonderfully!!
Don't know who brought up BF but it is hard, i managed 6 months, but only cause i felt it was easier than faffing around with bottles etc in middle of night! you have to make whatever decision is going to be right for you and wee one.:j0 -
CM told me when I dropped Joe off this morning that he stood on his own a couple of times yesterday  He did it at home once, but only managed a couple of seconds before he fell over. How can I stop him practising?? :rotfl:
The CM's youngest starts school today and she's a bit upset about it
and has planned a busy day to keep her mind off it. So Joe will be off to soft play this morning
I can't knit or crochet either
I used to be able to knit a bit as my Mum taught me, but wouldn't know where to start now. I keep thinking I should have another go as it does seem to be a bit of a dying art among the younger generation and hand knitted things do look so lovely. My Mum made a few things for Joe when he was smaller, but she has arthritis in her hands now so can't do very much.
I joined Weight Watchers this week (online, can't be doing with going to meetings
) I did quite well at losing the baby weight at first, I think mostly because we had at least an hours walk most days and it's fairly hilly where I live. But the weight has crept on since I've been back at work - it really doesn't help working from home as if I get bored there's no-one to talk to so I usually end up investigating what goodies are in the kitchen

Afternoon all,
My sister is a knitwear designer and mostly does adult stuff but she has sold a couple of baby designs to mothercare. Only had one made for Poppy though, she is too busy doing it for a job to do them for free haha.
Doglover - glad your LO went down to sleep eventually, hope he is a little more settled for you. I haven't really done any exercise yet bar walking. I used the c section exscuse for as long as poss! I haven't got much to lose to be what i was pre pregnancy now but would like to be a bit smaller.
Becles - aww to your Mum missing the kids! My Mum works in a school and didn't want to go back as she had been spending more time with Poppy although we live a whie away from her.
BigBird- It's good your childminder has her other charges to keep her occupied.0
