Hello everyone :hello:
Fingers crossed you get the outcome you want Courgette, whichever that may be
Hope everyone is all OK and all the babies are letting you get loads of sleep!
I'm up stupidly early for a weekend... The baby decided 6.40 was the ideal time to get up
Going to have to do something about bedtimes methinks, it's getting beyond a joke in my house with the twins now, and it means I can't put Squeak to bed early because they disturb her. Last night was a nightmare
I think I'm going back to bed today when Squeak does as the older 3 are off out for the day

Morning all

Our babies must be in cahoots delain, Joe decided 6:30 was wakey wakey time this morning. He's enjoying some toast and peanut nutter now so I'll leave DH in charge and I'll head out to do the Tesco shop while it's still fairly quiet.
Hope everyone else had had a more reasonable wake up time for a Saturday morning! You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
Good morning! Sorry to hear there have been some early wake ups. Delain I hope you manage to catch up on some Z's later.
Update from me is that our LO is still coping much better with the colic. Obviously he's still got it to a degree but there is a marked improvement thank goodness. Our latest problem is that he won't settle to sleep without being cuddled. We're working on that one but he is still only 3 weeks old.
What plans do you all have for this weekend? Not that much my end. In laws are having A for a few hours today (OMG first time leaving him with someone that isn't DH) so I'll take the opportunity to get some housework done.0 -

I'm hoping I'll get more confident on my own with her soon though-well I'll have to as I have no choice. But its scary isn't it! We changed her from normal Aptamil to Aptamil comfort and we're using the Mam anti colic bottles which seem really good. Its still early days but I'm hoping they help, she has adjusted well to the comfort formula and seemed a little more settled last night in that she screamed slightly less and slept a little more. Not a massive difference but better than previous nights so thats good enough for now. We also had green poo:eek:
Hi Claire! We made the change and really pleased so far. We've got Avent bottles now. Only thing is that the comfort formular says it needs teats that are medium or fast flow. We've got the Avent variflow teats on but they say it's for 3m+. We tried the correct teats but poor LO was sucking hard for an hour to get through about his bottle! I hope the 3m teat doesn't cause other probs?!
I've been doing a lot more at night and taking A out on my own and by doing it I feel far more capable. I decided that by my DH doing so much it was in fact denting my confidence. Perhaps give yourself a target to do something that requires a slight push - I bet you'll feel better for it.
I hope you're still seeing some improvement with your little girl.
Claireloo I hope you're doing well too!0 -

Doglover - My DD (7months) had colic then silent reflux and to say she was a nightmare was an understatement (she is still on medication for it) Have you tried tilting his mattress on either his moses basket or cot? I was told that babies with colic hate lying flat on their back as it aggravates the colic/reflux. My DD only settled on us for the 1st 3 months and we let her at the time but once she turned 3months she did settle on her own a lot more, I think within the first couple of months the world is a big scary place for them and they just want to be close to mum and dad. It will get easier, i didnt believe it at the time but 7 months in she is much much better. HTH.[/COLOR] Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0 -
Morning
Busy day yesterday and I'm working again this morning. Hoping to get back to watch the match later.
I spent my birthday Amazon voucher on Just Dance Extra 2 and the Michael Jackson Experience for the Wii. It's great fun
Have a good day all xxHere I go again on my own....0 -
Please can you lovely ladies give me some advice. LO is still only 15 days old so perhaps I shouldn't be concerned but he wants to eat all the time - literally every hour! I am trying to feed him 3.5 oz but he generally only takes 3 before either getting bored and refusing to take more or falling asleep. The asleep then only lasts 15/20 mins at the most and he starts to want food again - its exhausting.
At night funnily enough he is much better - feeds at 10.30pm and then 2.30 and 6am which I don't find too bad through the night. I just can't do anything for myself in the day as he is just eating all the time. This coupled with the fact that I am trying to express, means I just can't get the amount he wants and need to top up with more formula which isn't helping with my supply.
Any help gratefully appreciated

I love the Micheal Jackson experience, was doing it when pregnant haha.
Not many plans this weekend as OH is working. Did a bit of housework this morning and need to pop to shop later.0 -
Claireloo- they go through quite a lot of growth spurts so might be one of them. I am bfing and Poppy has always been snacky. She used to eat all the time but now she can go a lot longer, especially if we are out and about. Sorry can't help but think it's pretty normal.0
