LO is still improving. He's feeding v regularly during the day and seeming to go longer at night. We've had two 5 hour stints so far. I find that his earlier feeds tend me closer together which I guess is him catching up after the longer period night feeds and then towards the end of the day he seems to stock up a bit too. Wow I must have a genius child knowing to do this at the tender age of 3 weeks!

DL - I think I can finally see a sort of pattern developing with Leo and this seems to be it too. He just likes to eat little and often through the day in order to go longer at night - fine by me now I'm starting to understand it.

Also question for all of you - are your babies really noisy sleepers? Leo is so noisy at night gruffling away in his sleep. We had intended to keep him in our room with us for the recommended 6 months but he is keeping us awake while he sleeps. Obviously he's too little to be moved at the moment but I can see us rethinking things in a few weeks:o

My Squeak makes all sorts of random noises, always has done.

Her personal best was a few weeks ago when OH (much to my disgust lol) let rip very loudly in his sleep and she sat up and said 'Ohhhhh' like she was cross.

    Sounds super cute to me!!

Delain your LO just has standards!! Bless.

Claireloo I'm really pleased to hear that Leo I'd starting to get into a slight pattern too - there goes my genius baby theory!! :rotfl:
I'm glad you mentioned that about Leo keeping you awake. I've been wondering how we'd manage the 6 months. DH is a freakishly light sleeper whereas I'm not!

Right off for a walk into town. Have a good day x

Josh was really noise. He lasted 2 nights in our bedroom and I had to move him out as I'd had no sleep as I was just laying there on a knife edge all night thinking he was going to wake up in a minute :o The others went in their own room from birth.

The wind is really bad here. I've already been out to fasten up a climbing rose that had blown down off the trellis, and I'm going to put my towels in the tumble drier as I think I'll lose them if I put them on the line.

Next door has a horrible huge tree planted on the boundary that is never pruned and now we hardly get any sunshine in the back garden. I'm seriously hoping it blows down :o

OMG my next door neighbour has a tree that blocks out my late afternoon/early evening sun, it spreads blossom all over OUR garden in spring and leaves in the winter. He's a nightmare - we have asked him repeatedly to crop it but he reckons its cruel to cut trees!?!? Does my head in. I'm so tempted to stick a copper nail through the trunk but he'd know it was us and I'm worried what he might do to get back at us:rotfl:

DD used to be quite noisy, her nose was really small so the slightest bit of snot and her breathing was really loud. Luckily for me and OH we got used to it and eventually she has learnt to breath through her mouth when her nose is blocked.

My sister moved her DS in his own room as soon as he was 6 months as she couldn't stand the noise, however she still sleeps with her OH who's snoring is much louder - she didn't like it when I pointed that out to her :rotfl:

  • I think babies get quieter when they sleep, DS used to be very noisy but I was so exhausted I would have slept through anything!! He is very quiet now, apart from when he has a cold and snores.

Think he is teething badly as fingers right in mouth and had disturbed sleeps/naps - in a way looking forward to getting back to work is becoming very stressful looking after him full time!

I can see how annoying that conifer is pigpen. I like the cat spying on you from the roof :D

This is next door's jungle. His garden is to the west of us, so after lunch we lose the sun. When I moved in, the tree was smaller and the patio and lawn used to be in full sun, so we could eat lunch and evening meals outside. Now the patio only gets early morning sun, and by mid afternoon the whole garden is in shade :(

There's nothing we can do as it's one deciduous tree and shrubs, so it's not covered by high hedge laws or anything like that. The law is really unfair that he is allowed to let the tree get that big and spoil our use of the garden and there is nothing we can do about it, other than cut off anything that overhangs. That's a 6ft high fence in the picture.
Here I go again on my own....
